Can I cut this to propagate a new plant?

My neighbor moved and gave this plant to me because she couldn’t fit it in the moving truck. It looks like a small tree but it doesn’t seem like it should be growing this way. Can I cut a branch with the leaves on it and stick it in a pot to regrow?

Getting into the trades

I’ve been trying for the last year to get into the trades. All of my previous experience is in food service industry, operations and upper management. Im in my late 30s trying to change my career. I’ll go through the unions and pass their aptitude tests then when I interview I get told they like me and my attitude but I don’t have enough experience. But I always thought an apprenticeship was HOW you got experience. At this point would a trade school be my best option?

So far I’ve interviewed with sheet metal, pipefitting, and elevator repair. All have said the same thing about my experience.

Short City&Colour vocal cover Begin Again

I feel semi comfortable singing at a regular volume (not perfect) but I never try belting because I live in an apartment building. Here’s my first attempt. How can I get more comfortable belting? Do I just need to accept my neighbors will hear me mess up a bunch before I improve?

How do people get on shows or play shows?

If this is the wrong sub for this I’m sorry.
Long story short, I played in bands in the early 00s and 10s in my hometown and a bit of tour. I stopped playing music until the last year and it’s solo singer songwriter stuff. I’m at a point where I feel I could play some shows but I’ve been out of that world for so long that now I have no idea how to do so anymore.

How do musicians sound so clear on social media?

If this is the wrong sub to ask this I apologize. But I’ve recently started sharing some videos of myself playing/singing songs I’ve written and the video always sounds terrible and my guitar over powers my vocals. But I’ll see videos on IG or TikTok of people playing their songs and it sounds clear with no background noise. How’re they doing this? Thank you!

Interview questions

I feel I see people talking about traveling to apply when openings pop up and I’m wondering are the tests and interview questions standardized? Like if someone applied in like Tampa but also Atlanta or Chicago etc etc would they be met with the same process each time? Thank you

Merch question

I want that glow in the dark shirt on her website but my question is are the shirts unisex? Unless I’m blind I can’t find that info on the page. I’m a bit of a larger man and sometimes things for a bit weird. That’s why I’m curious.

Thank you

Took a year away from weightlifting to side quest into powerlifting

Decided to try and power snatch last night. Hit 10kg under my all time best though. Still got it 😏

How do artists write so many songs so quickly?

I’ll listen to interviews with artists and bands and they’ll say like “oh we have 50 songs written but we narrowed it down to 12 for the LP” or “we wrote 5 new songs in a day” or something similar. I take months to write songs because I feel I’m constantly revising. Or I get stuck for days on end and have to walk away. What do yall do?

Is the apprenticeship entrance test similar to the ASVAB?

I have my test coming up soon and I’ve taken the asvab before and the study guide on the NEIEP makes it seem so

Steve O’nions

One of the few photographers on YouTube that I enjoyed following dropped his last video today. It’s a bummer but his reasonings being “I’ve said everything I’ve wanted to say” and “I want to create more for myself” is respectable.

I’m starting vocal lessons this week

I’m in the midsts of writing an EP and my singing isn’t where I feel it should be so I’m seeking professional help. I decided to do a little vocal cover of death cab for cutie to give them an idea of where I’m starting

Flat when singing softly

Hello, I recently started writing music again after many years and I’m trying to sing and play guitar. The thing is I live in an apartment and since I’ve been away from music for so long I’m really rusty. Guitar came back decent but I’m trying to sing softly so I don’t bother anyone but im having trouble with it. Any advice? Or do I just need to get over my worry for my neighbors?

I just finished the episode “Kumas life”

And the emotional whiplash as the end credit music started playing was insane. I’ve got tears in my eyes but the music makes me want to dance.

To the person off 14th and Columbine stuck in traffic screaming about how you hate Denver and just want to get home and sleep (I assume you work over nights)

I truly hope you got home ok and get the most rest. This is the worst.

I want to get a flash for my canon p and I understand it’s a cold shoe so I’ll need a PC adapter but my question is…does any flash work then if I adapt it with the cable? I’ve been thinking of the Olympus fl-14. Any suggestions for flashes are welcome. Thanks!
