Murky's egg getting destroyed on its own

Murky's egg getting destroyed on its own

So I don't know if this is a bug or something that's supposed to happen, but earlier I was playing as Murky on that map with the nukes (forgot its name) and right before the map started, I decided to put my egg right behind the gates before it opened, something I do all the time. However, for some reason, this time the egg instantly got destroyed as soon as I placed it (the game hadn't even begun yet) and I got the message saying "you can't place another egg in 15 seconds". My theory is that perhaps I accidentally put the egg inside the walls or something which caused it to get immediately destroyed? Is this intended or is it a bug?

red exclamation mark that means my egg got destroyed

this is where I was trying to place my egg

What are some builds or talents that are rarely used in Storm League but very powerful in QM?

As someone that plays QM exclusively, I was wondering what are some talents that are good in QM but you almost never see mentioned in guides or videos because they suck in Storm League? For example, a lot of self healing talents are good in QM when you don't draft a healer while in Storm League people prefer talents that give armor. Percent based damage talents may be good against tanks, but they aren't as good when there are no tanks. So which talents are good on QM that are not used often in Storm League?

Hypotheticals of the Storm #7: You have to add a new hero and remove an existing one.

Imagine you are tasked with adding any new hero to the game from popular Blizzard's franchises. Who are you adding? However, you also have to permanently delete an existing hero. Who is getting the axe?

Hypotheticals of the Storm #6: What would you like to see if heroes got a third heroic at level 10?

What abilities would you like to see on your favorite heroes if they had a third heroic ability choice at level 10? It could be something from their source games or something completely new. It could be something simple or something super wacky. It doesn't even have to be balanced, it's only for fun. Here is a random one from me:

Murky:

Murlock Infestation (R): Activate to place a special egg that loses HP over 20 seconds and spawns one AI controlled Murky every 4 seconds. The AI controlled Murkys have all of Murky's abilities except his ultimate and trait, deal half damage and take 25% more damage from all sources. They attack enemy heros nearby, and if there aren't any they will walk through the nearest lane and push it until they die.

or another idea, also for Murky:
Mommy! (R): Murky calls for help, and is replaced by a grown up Murlock during 20 seconds. The Murlock has twice as much max health as murky, his slime radius is considerably bigger, his puffer fish has double HP and increased radius and deals double autoattack damage. All talents affecting murky's abilities also affect the abilities of the grown up Murlock.

Recommend me underrated or fun to play talent builds

Recommend me talent builds that are either underrated or just fun to play even though they aren't meta or popular. I plan to use them on QM so it doesn't matter if they don't have the highest winrate as long as they are something different than the usual.

What underpicked or underperforming talent would become viable if it was in a different tier?

While still keeping the hero balanced. What underpicked or underperforming talent would get more play and give the hero more talent diversity if it was moved to a different talent tier? (For example, moving a talent from level 16 to level 13, etc.)

Hypotheticals of the Storm #5: What would be the most broken ability if it had global range?

Title. By global range I mean global casting range, the ability's hitbox doesn't change unless the ability is a straight line, in which case it is extended infinitely. (so for example, Deathwing's flight R's hitbox would be affected, but his AOE fear wouldn't). To make things more fun, let's exclude all abilities without a casting range and without a line hitbox such as Valla's W, Alarak's Q or Muradin's W since those would just have a hitbox the size of the entire map. If the ability is a projectile with speed, the speed would stay the same and wouldn't be changed (similar to how global Azmo's Q currently works, where the projectile would take longer to reach the farther you throw it). What do you think the most broken ability would be?

Is there a balance reason why Illidan can't mount during Metamorphosis until level 20?

It just feels like a weird way to nerf it if it's for balance reasons. Did the devs ever give a reason? Was there perhaps some broken interaction with mounting and meta? Is it to prevent Illidan from escaping by teleporting away with metamorph and then immediately mount afterwards? A lot of characters are already able to do similar stuff, with some even having talents for instant mount such as hanzo, yrel and cassia. I'm just curious since it feels like a weird limitation to give the ability and on paper it doesn't feel like it would be super broken if you could mount during it, but maybe there's something I'm missing.

Why is Raynor's Banshee so clunky to control?

Compared to other summons such as Misha or Ice Elemental, Raynor's Banshee is extremely clunky to control. Is this intentional? If it's for balance reasons, why not balance it in other ways instead of making it feel so clunky? Or am I using it wrong? Even Rexxar is way easier to play because of how smooth Misha controls, but raynor's banshee takes literally like 3 seconds to do what you commanded it to, it feels like playing with lag, sometimes it starts attacking on its own, sometimes it follows you, sometimes it just stays in one place without doing anything. (Also, minor complaint, but why does the ult icon shows two banshees if it only summons one?)

What do you think the hardest official level is, not counting the tech version of dramatic entrance?

I think most of us can agree the tech version of dramatic entrance is the hardest official level in the game (by official I mean everything that is already in the game, so we won't count custom or featured levels). But outside of that one, which one do you think is the hardest? I heard lots of people say that It Go! is the hardest, but I personally think either Libertas or Options is harder. I managed to get the red lantern for It Go! way easier than the other two, which I haven't even gotten yet after tons of tries, though maybe it helps that It Go! is at 0.9 speed while Libertas requires 1.0. In my opinion, while It Go! is fast and long, most of its mechanics are super simple, with most of the song having only square angles. The only exception and the part that gave me the most trouble is the part in the middle that has some hexagons and triabgles, but it's pretty short. In comparison, Libertas and Options both have more diversity of angles all throughout the soung, with Options in particular having a super weird rhythm that is hard to follow, with its main saving grace being that it's super short.
Other options for hardest song would probably be the leftmost crown level (I forgot the name) which is on the easy side for like half of the level then suddendly spikes in difficulty near the end, Emomomo which I would argue becomes so much easier once you learn the rolling technique for those weird triangles, and while not many people would agree, I personally had a ton of trouble with Party of Spirits because of its weird jazzy rhythm.

Btw I havent really explored the DLC so there is a chance that there is something harder in there that I haven't played yet.

What do you guys think is the hardest song in the game?

Hypotheticals of the storm #4: Imagine you could pick a level 20 talent instead of your ultimate at level 10. Which ones would be worth it?

Imagine that at level 10 you have the option to forego your ultimate and grab a storm tier talent instead, which ones would be worth losing an ultimate for? Of course, this doesn't include the ultimate upgrade talents since they won't do anything if you don't have the ultimate. Also let's imagine that you can choose your ult again at level 20 if you decided to pick a storm talent at 10, so the ult would not be lost forever, or you can just pick a second storm talent at 20 if you prefer. You cannot choose an ultimate at both level 10 and 20 though, only one ultimate in total (except for Alarak since he already can do that)

I think one of the main problems why Blaze isn't good as a main tank is the fact that he has to pick between CC and survivability.

I think the main problem why he isn't viable as a main tank is because his main survivability outside of his trait armor (which is on a very long cooldown if you don't go trait build) is on the same ability as his slow, which is his most reliable CC and the best way to setup for his otherwise unreliable stun. Having both on the same ability isn't inherently bad, the problem is that he can't have both at the same time. If he turns the oil on fire he loses his slow, if he doesn't turn it on he loses his survivability. I think they should make the burning oil slow for a fraction of his unburned oil, he has a talent that does that but it's never picked because it competes against the talent that gives his E a ton of burst damage. I think this slow when his oil is burning should be baseline, it could be reduced if 40% is too much, or his burning oil damage could be reduced to compensate (they could give burning oil its damage back with a talent so that offlane Blaze doesn't get nerfed as a result, or buff his autoattack talents to make up for the loss of damage/waveclear in his basekit).

What are some of the best english translated VNs from Asia that aren't from Japan?

I'm pretty familiar with both western and japanese VNs, but there is a niche that I haven't fully explored: VNs from places like China or Korea. I recently read two chinese VNs that I thought were pretty good so I want to read more of them, they were Reverse Memories and Brave New World i. Do you know any others worth reading?

What are the silliest deaths you've seen in this game?

For me:

  1. A Dva using self destruct on the zerg wave and dying to the zerg wave before she can go back into her mech.
  2. Stitches hooking a Dva self destructing mech towards his low HP team.
  3. Artanis swapping himself and an enemy trapped in Zeebo's wall of zombies, trapping himself inside the enemy team and freeing the enemy at the same time.

Hypotheticals of the Storm #3: What ability would become broken if it could affect structures?

Title. If the ability is targeted, it now can target structures. All stuns, blinds and silences make structures unable to attack for the full duration. If the ability deals damage, it now deals damage to structures. If the ability shields or heals, it now shields or heals alied structures. If it increases or reduces damage, attack speed or armor, it affects structures too (lets assume both attack damage and spell power affect structure damage). If it deals percent damage, it deals full damage to structures as well. And so on with everything else, such as protected, invulnerable, etc. Which would be the most broken ability? My vote goes to Alextrasza's life bind ult, imagine healing a structure back from 0 hp to full. Or imagine the siege potential of Greymane's silver bullet. Or Anduin preventing siege as well as healing the towers. As funny as a pyroblast would be, idk if the damage is worth using on a structure. What do you guys think?

Alexstrasza new level 13 talent idea

This talent would be a new one and wouldn't replace any other talents:

Cleansing Bloom (W): Abundance's healing burst removes all slows, roots and stuns from allied heroes. Allied heroes near Abundance's area of effect before it blooms gain 15% movement speed when walking towards it.
(In other words, when W's healing goes off, it cleanses your allies of slows roots and stuns. As for the second part of the effect, it gives allies within a certain range of her W's circle as it's still blooming and before it heals a 15% movement speed but only if they are walking towards the circle. (not sure what said range should be, but for reference I was thinking a radius about the size of D.Va's self destruct around the W AoE))

Please give me goofy hero combos or comps

I mean hero combos or comps that are funny or silly to play, but not necessarily overpowered. So for example Aba and Illidan or Cho'gall and Auriel are strong but a bit straightforward and not very interesting so I dont mean those kinds of combos. I mean stuff like Butcher with Furnace, Anduin with stun ult and E build Ragnaros, and suddendly you have a butcher running at you with three explosions about to happen. Or a team comp full of characters like Guldan, Whitemane, tassadar, etc. to have the entire team channeling beams at a single enemy. Or the classic Stitches plus Medivh for a long range gorge. It doesnt matter if its not meta or if its suboptimal, as long as its funny to play in QMs.

A few talent change suggestions for Jaina

Level 1:
Lingering Chill: No longer increases Chill duration to 6 seconds. Basic attacks against chilled targets extends the duration of chill by 2 seconds. Jaina gains 1.1 basic attack range.

Level 16:
Snowstorm (W):
In addition to the additional damage of Blizzard this talent already gives, it also makes chilled enemies inside Blizzard's area of effect get slowed by an additional 10%. (So from 25% slow to 35%, but only while inside blizzard's aoe). Alternatively, instead of the slow it could reduce the time between waves of blizzard, for example from 1.25 seconds per wave to 1 second.

Would it be broken if the Medivac's secondary ability was targeted instead of always being used in base?

If the place you target is where the medivac starts and the place Morales is at is the end (basically the opposite of normal medivac) instead of always starting in base. Could help when your team is split and a teamfight is happening where you are at but someone is split pushing and wants to join. Thoughts? Would it be too broken?
