So we bought a home with ADT system about a month ago. I hate ADT so I did not renew the contract. The previous owner owns the system outright and now I own it.

I planned to use it as a local system so I connected it to my wifi when I moved in a month ago and it has been fine until few days ago.

Now, I am constantly getting a "Wifi Fault" beep. I am able to reconnect it to my wifi but after few minutes, I get this error again.

There was a thread by someone who had the same issue and he resolved it by not allowing the panel to contact the Alarm.com IP address. Apparently ADT does this on purpose to annoy you in hoping you re-sign up. Unfortunately, I don't know how to do that with my Astound broadband and Eero 6 mesh system.

So, before I unplug it and remove the backup battery and make it a paperweight, is there anything I can do to stop it from beeping with this "Wifi Fault" error?!

Just purchased a home with Flo and trying to get used to how this works. I've had an automatic water valve shutoff system in my previous home (Yolink) so I'm not entirely new to this sort of technology but this is definitely different than what I used to have.

1. Both my wife and I are retired. So we don't always take shower at fixed time like working folks. I might take a shower in the morning or in the afternoon depending on the day's schedule.

So far, Flo has shut off water during my shower 2 times and once for my wife.

With our irregular shower schedule, how can Flo learn our habits? I'm now putting it into sleep mode before I take a shower. It's definitely inconvenient.

Granted I have the sensitivity set on Maximum but I'm afraid if I set it to a less strict mode it won't detect an actual water leak event soon enough.

So how do I make this work so I don' have to put it into the sleep mode every time I take a shower?!

2. With my previous system (Yolink), I had leak sensors under every sink in the house. I also had a sensor under the fridge, washer and water heater.

Should I buy sensors for Flo (they are expensive) also and place them through out the house? Or is that too much and not necessary with Flo?

Just bought a home with ADT alarm. Previous owner owns the system outright. It has this panel, two exterior cameras, and sensors on doors and windows.

Home is 4 yrs old so I’m guessing it’s fairly new system.

My question is, can I use this system with another monitoring company? Looked thru Alarmgrid website and my panel is not on their list of supported panels.

I used to have Ring cameras and alarm at my other house and really liked it. I don’t think the ADT equipment will work with Ring?

From a reply earlier, it looks like this is ADT only equipment

So my options are to rip out this system if I want to go with another system?

I will be buying a new home soon and need the dual vanity in the master bathroom lowered about 5 inches. Its L shaped vanity with quartz countertop and undermount sinks.

Ideally I would love to keep the same countertop and cabinet. But I’m not sure if that will be possible. Maybe I can reuse the cabinet but not countertop? I’m thinking it’ll probably crack when it’s removed.

What do you guys think? What would be the best approach?
