From 10 o’clock at night I get left on my own with the night team at a tesco’s extra and it’s usually pretty quiet but not yesterday suddenly a massive load of people showed up at 10 o’clock at night all with full trolleys queueing around the shop .

Normally, this would be okay just get them done and get them out, but they were all complaining bitterly why where there no checkout staff. Why was I on my own? Tesco should have more people not to mention the shouting and swearing from customers and this is terrible service from Tesco’s.

And to complete the nightmare two massive 100 item service checks, even though I turned the scan as shop off an hour ago.

And regardless of how many times I’m politely I explained sorry after 10 o’clock we operator reduce service everyone’s gone home for a well deserve rest and I was the only trained member of staff no one cared.

So I got rather overwhelmed and a little ratty with some of them.

These two come every payday and I don’t see them at any other time and to make it more annoying It triggered a full scan when I was halfway through because of one item.

Store was closing up. It was two minutes to midnight and the night manager whose job it is to make sure the shop is clear so I can go home. Lets another bloke in and goes just do this one and you can go.

I wait till midnight when my shift finishes and walk I then get chased by the manager we’ve got a customer left please just do this one and I tell him he’s your problem now and go.

I’m getting fed up of being taken for granted being expected to go above and beyond when it’s not returned in kind.

I’m sure I’m going to get it in the neck in the morning, but I don’t care.
