Methuselah, drawn in ink
I thought my recent drawing of Methuselah, the ancient Great Basin Bristlecone Pine, might be appreciated here

I used Syo-ro in a Lamy Safari and with a #10 round brush for this drawing. The paper if Fabriano studio hot press watercolor, which is extremely smooth and allows for the showcasing of sheening inks. My goal was to use the red-purple sheen of the ink to represent the purple iridescence on the swallows wings and tail.
Each drawn with a different fountain pen ink. These are for a blog run by fellow redditor u/paris_pen where they write about fountain pen-related topics
I drew this with J.Herbin Violette Pensee in a Lamy Safari <F>. I honestly was not a fan of this ink at first, but really love how this drawing came out. This piece is also for the blog I’m collaborating on encredanstemps.com
I used a Franklin Christoph model 40 <ef flex> and J. Herbin Perle Noire for this drawing, and a water brush for the washes. This is another piece for u/paris_pen and their fountain pen focused blog https://encredanstemps.com
Another Reddit user u/paris_pen reached out to have some artwork created for their fountain pen and ink focused blog, and I thought I would share it here as well. I really love how this one came out! I’m not big on blue inks, but ads-gao is my go to blue. Drawn with a Kaweco Sport <f>. The blog is https://encredanstemps.com if anyone wants to check it out
Drawn with a Sailor 1911L <21k EF> and Sailor Kiwaguro ink in a Stillman & Birn epsilon series sketchbook. Skug is just trying to earn a few acorns plying his trade of blacksmithing
Capy, the hero of the children’s fantasy novel I’m illustrating taking a rest with a new friend. Drawn with a Sailor 1911L <21k EF> AND Sailor Kiwaguro ink. This has quickly become my favorite pen for drawing. It’s perfectly comfortable in the hand and the nib provides unmatched control.
