"silverback is botted it doesn't matter" - Let's talk about the math.

0.01%. That's one in ten thousand (1/10000).

Does that mean you are guaranteed one within hatching 10,000 eggs? No. Every egg is its own independent roll. The game doesn't take into account your past rolls.

That puts you around only a 63% chance to get one. Which is high yes, but it's not 100%. Statistically, 1/3 people will crack 10,000 eggs and never get it. Hatching 10,000 eggs is literally the average number of attempts.

Hitting the coinflip of 50/50 means you need to hatch around 7,000 eggs.

If each egg is 4000 tickets, you'd need 28,000,000 tickets to reach the point where it's a simple 50/50.

I'm sure we know how long it takes to get tickets? It took me like... 3-5 days at LEAST of kind of playing all day on and off to make a mega black-footed ferret for just 30,000 tickets.

So, in theory, even if 1,000 people were botting... it would take them literal months of grinding out tickets and most bots still would never hit it. I don't think people understand how % chances work. The bottom line is that it's rare, doesn't matter if it's botted or not.

Bottom line is it is RARE. Like it's rare. Botted or not, it's rare.

And as always - values don't actually exist. What exists are people buying the opinions of the very few and basing their actions on it. One of the worst economies right now is a result of theoretical value (AI), because a few people just arbitrarily throw around numbers based off of theoretical value, and then people invest based off of it because of it's potential.

So sad I started this summer and won't get the gorilla...

Two million tickets is so much 🥹. I feel like I'd have to crack hundreds of crystal eggs to get the gorilla too..

My main goal is to collect every primate species....

But alas, that is more difficult than I thought 😪.

Anyone else start recently and already feel like it's impossible to collect all they want?

Inputs feel terrible

I feel like half the time (or like 25% of the time) my sword doesn't come up, sg doesn't shoot, i dont dash, etc. i slide a lot

I tried capping my FPS to just 60 / 120. It felt a bit better input wise but had bad screen tearing. it's really annoying that mid fight i suddenly just stand still or don't dash, or i press space to start a bf for example but my slash somehow comes BEFORE my jump and i stay on the ground, even though i press space first.

Is my website too simple? I'd like input please!

I have a website and I wanted to make the website just very... to the point, easy to navigate, etc. Compared to other websites I see on here, it's like the opposite. Maybe it looks dated?

My goal is simplicity and the target audience are high-intent, so I didn't want to make anything flashy. But I'm wondering if I could "spruce it up" a bit without putting to many barriers. So far I think it's okay but the last webdesign class I took was in early 2010s lol.

And how's the usability of it? Does anything need to be clearer?

Project L********* - where do i even do the work?

I got accepted into this project. When I start task, there's... no platform to work with? it just gives me instructions?

Am I missing something or is this some bug? The handbook says nothing about where you actually do the work.

Project G****** - really only 10 minutes for a task?

How is that even possible... i've been working on it for 40 minutes and i'm only halfway done. I just started so I'm getting the hang of it but like... surely they won't only pay for 10 minutes. I think the fastest people could do these are like... maybe 20-30 minutes?

What's this sound?

Recently got the Midea 8000 BTU unit. It honestly cools great. My sister had one and it was so quiet so I was convinced...

But mine makes this noise that my sisters didn't? Is it not tilted back enough or something? I haven't pulled out the drain plug yet it's only been two ~ days seeing how it runs.

Just a european guy I guess :")

I really wasn't expecting so many small percentages. Interesting to see specifically "Breton" that seems so random lmao.

if someone asks me what ethnicity I am... I shall just say european 😬

Offering: English (native) / seeking: French

Hello!

30M American looking to move to Europe and want to pick up French as it seems useful and I’ve always enjoyed it:) I have a common French name but don’t really know much about France.

I am a musician / producer, I love food and cooking, I’ve also studied other languages and lived in Japan for a few years!

I recently started but I pick up languages fairly quickly, and would love to be at a basic conversational level by the end of this year :)
