Baltimore GCs--anything I should do when visiting for NSGC later this year?

Normally I get together with old classmates or current coworkers in the evenings but I don't think anyone from my circle is attending this year, so I'll be mostly solo. Anything I should do/checkout while I'm in the area? Never been to Baltimore before. Thanks!

Can't open TRUMP account?

Tried to open a TRUMP account for my son recently and got a letter in the mail saying it couldn't be opened because his DOB does not match SSA records but I can see that the DOB on the IRS website on the application matches his vital records. Has anyone else had this issue?

Exhausted from solo parenting toddler while pregnant wife is sick

Looking for someone who can relate. Wife and I have a 2 year old son who is awesome. Recently we found out we will be welcoming baby #2 early next year and we are so excited. My wife is one of those unlucky women who experience extreme nausea and fatigue while pregnant. Lately, this has meant that I am basically soloing all toddler and household related tasks. I'll try my best not to be hyperbolic here, because she obviously is still able to do some stuff, but I'm not exaggerating by much.

On an average day, we carpool together in the morning. I drop her off at work and then my son at daycare before going to work myself. After work, we pick our son up together and head home. Usually once we are home I take care of the animals and get dinner together for everybody. My wife will usually go to bed with her food or immediately after eating because she feels so terrible. Or lay on the couch. She will often fall asleep for about an hour and sometimes I won't see her again until around our son's bedtime. In the meantime, I play with my son and try to do a few things around the house. Usually I do bath and bedtime but she does bedtime when she's feeling up to it.

I want to be very, VERY clear that this vent is NOT about my wife. She is literally perfect. If anything, she has the worse end of the deal here. I am more than happy picking up the slack while she is hard at work growing a human being and continuing to work a full time job. She is also constantly expressing how much she appreciates me doing so much. On weekends, if she's up to it, she will watch our son while I take an hour or so for myself.

The reason for my vent here is just that I am so, so, so tired. She was sick like this with our son but since he was our first, it was a lot different. She would just lay in bed or on the couch and watch TV or do whatever and I would take care of her and do whatever else I wanted with my free time. Obviously now things are different, since her being incapacitated means it's just me and the lad for most evenings. Somewhere in between taking care of the both of them, I struggle to find time to vacuum, do laundry, mow the lawn, do dishes, clean up around the house, etc.

I have tried to just accept that some things aren't gonna get done and that's just gonna have to be OK for now. We're all doing our best. Hoping she starts feeling a little better once we're out of the first trimester, since that was the worst part for her last time. Anyways, thanks for listening I guess!

Does this qualify as an error?

Is this an error? The text on the right card is blue rather than purple. Every other jungle mime I’ve seen is purple.

Looking for more cards with this vibe

Hi all,

My wife is currently pregnant and I want to put together a little binder for her as a silly gift. Looking for cards like this pillowswine that have a "mother and child/children" vibe.

Thanks!

What is going on with this PSA 10 First Edition Shadowless Base Set Charizard?

What is going on with this eBay listing? It's WAY under market and looks like the PSA label has slid down in the slab or something. The cert is valid, though. Wondering if maybe it was tampered with? Obviously the rule of thumb is "if it's too good to be true, it probably is" but just curious what y'all think. Also, should the PSA label mention that it's shadowless or no?

About half way through Requiem right now and

I miss Village so bad :'(

Requiem has been good, but, as a long time RE fan and someone who has played every game, RE8 is peak for me personally. I don't know why but it's just my favorite. Unfortunately it set such a high bar that I'm struggling to really enjoy Requiem as much as I otherwise would. I just want more Village lol. It is one of the very few games I have fully 100% completed.

Found JBL Headphones

Found some JBL Tune Buds 2 in a case with an Air Tag in the UK Hospital. I scanned the Air Tag with my iPhone but it's not in lost mode yet so I can't see the full phone number to call the person who owns them, just the last four digits.

If you think these are your headphones, PM me the last 4 digits of your phone number and the color of the headphones/case and I will get them back to you.

New to collecting. Found some old cards from childhood. Should I grade this?

Hey all. I only recently got into collecting after finding some cards from when I was a kid, so I don’t know a lot. I was wondering if it would be worth grading this Gengar? It looks pretty good to me. The front centering is skewed to the left but otherwise, not bad. There’s holo bleed but I don’t know if that affects the grading or not? Don’t worry. I have a sleeve and top loader for it. I just took it out to get a better picture. Any assistance would be much appreciated. Thank you!

[US, US] [H] Cubchoo - 109/086 & [W] Solosis - 118/086 OR 123/086

Hi! I know this is very specific, but I am a dedicated Reuniclus/Duosion/Solosis collector and am trying to collect every card for this line WITHOUT buying anything online (meaning only finding them in the wild, pulling from packs, buying from card shops/shows in person, or trading with other people directly!). I ripped a couple packs of Black Bolt recently and pulled this Cubchoo. Hoping someone out there has a Solosis to trade to help me on my journey. Would also be open to other Solosis/Duosion/Reuniclus cards! Thanks! :-)

New to collecting - have a few questions

Hi all!

Aside from some cards I got when I was really young, I am brand new to TCG collecting in general. I recently found my old binder that has some good stuff, like Gengar #94 from Japanese Mystery of the Fossils, Ancient Mew, Mewto #12 promo, Raichu #27 from Skyridge and some other things. It has inspired me to start collecting and I really like the idea of collecting every printing of one or two Pokemon, so I was really excited to find the r/PokemonTCGSpecies sub. Specifically, I want to collect all of the Reuniclus line as well as Deoxys (though I think Deoxys may be harder/impossible?).

The first thing I did was use the masterlist tool on the TCGSpecies sub (shout out u/Right_Celebration150) to make a list of all the cards I want to collect. I'm gonna focus on Solosis/Duosion/Reuniclus for now and think about Deoxys later. My questions are:

  1. How do most people find/obtain cards? I know I can just hop online and buy singles but, that doesn't seem as fun to me as going to game stores, card shows, opening packs, trading with people, etc. To me, hunting for cards "in the wild" gives that feel of trying to "catch em all". Swiping my credit card and just automatically completing my collection feels boring (even if it is cheaper to do it this way). That said, it's obviously not easy to find specific cards this way. Especially cards from older sets. Just wondering how everyone else goes about it.
  2. I am also interested in collecting any cards that feature the specific pokemon I am collecting in the card art, even if the card is for a different pokemon. Is there any database for this kind of thing? I am guessing not...
  3. Any recommendations for what to do with my old binder of cards? I would like to maybe sell or trade them to fuel my Reuniclus/Deoxys collecting but I don't really know where to start with that.
  4. Any other tips anyone has in general as I go on this journey?

Thanks!
