What's one little known author you rarely read but they had one book or series that you LOVED?
Not one from a popular/well known author, but from one you rarely see suggested/mentioned? I'll go first.
{Trueborn's Queen by Leona Page} It was about wolf shifters and >!the wolf abused the mate horribly but the human had no clue his wolf was doing that.!< This story grabbed me and I couldn't stop reading. The story opened up right at the action and didn't make you wait 80 chapters to get to the point.
{Bramble and Blood by Ashley Beasley} It's very slow burn and very much closed door but it's really interesting and I love that she's not an incompetent mfc.
{Blackwell Djinn by Nikki Kardnov}. VERY spicy
Heads up people who love funny, badass, independent fmcs who can laugh at themselves and everyone around them!
{Demon Days Vampire Nights} is coming out tomorrow (8/4/26) with its first hardcover with a gold foil cover, stenciled edges etc!
Personally, I am SO EXCITED. This is my all time favorite series and I've been waiting for these. They're available on Amazon.
Morning. Quick question about the Magnolia parking.
We have a concert coming up there and we can buy $10 tickets for parking. I have a handicap and need to park rather close. Is the $10 necessary or is there plenty of free parking even for me?
Normal Heights has a free refrigerated and dry goods food pantry. So easy to donate and help others, especially in this economy.
I wish we had one in the South Bay. This is such an easy way to help out
Can people just please be less rude with those of us who have canes or walkers? When I was walking alone, I'd get jostled or even pushed aside by people. However when I was with my son (6'6", 250lbs) not once did it happen. I'm obviously not TRYING to be in anyone's way but I have a right to walk ju
reddit.comI love me a dark grey book. Like a little sweet treat for my mind. But sometimes I do so and wonder WTF is wrong with when I get annoyed at women being affronted with men who abuse them.
Obviously in real life I'm like put him UNDER the jail but in my books? Shut up, you liked it. 🤡😫
I'm confused. This means my adult son who walks with me can't be in line with me?
New ADA rules
I've heard that the ada booth has access to quiet rooms and restrooms. Is that correct?
reddit.comVolunteers: check your emails! Pre-con assignments are going out. My husband and I just got ours.
reddit.comI saw this sign at Lazy Acres yesterday in case anyone would like to donate. I live in an apartment so I don't have a garden.
For those of you coming in to San Diego from out of town: Dominos has any pizza, any size, any crust, any toppings for only $10.99 each in CA. 9.99 in other states. Good until July 26. Easy cheap lunch or dinner.
reddit.comMy husband has a pixel 8a and he recently got a new app called shortcut maker. He didn't download it from anywhere, he said it appeared before he updated to Android 17. I've searched my p10p settings and I don't have it. Does anyone else and if so how do I get it?
I don't really know what it even does.
Does anyone know any taste of Hong Kong closed? They were so good. 😭
reddit.comI realize it's kind of late but if anyone is trying to start at the days inn on Broadway in Chula Vista, try to find somewhere else. It's NOT a good place.
reddit.comI'm on beta and this is the new way to send pictures and links to multiple people and it's the most annoying bs. I continually forget I have to write my text before I send it in order to have it incorporated. 🤬
Went to the Omni San Diego today with my hubby to check out the tikisocial before SDCC next month. The food was meh but the cocktails were AMAZING. I would go back for that alone. Best cocktail I've had in 8 years. The seating isn't very comfy & there's not a lot of it so go before Comic-Con!
We got the coconutty islander and the tropical tease. Also the tiki wings and fries.
I don't know who mentioned it, but I'm sure when I requested instalove someone gave me the name of Michelle Diener. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!
I'm reading her {Rising Wave series by Michelle Diener} and it's so good. Her writing style kind of reminds me of Ilona. I was drawn in from the first few paragraphs. The heroine is kick-ass and still sweet and smart. The hero doesn't try to be all alpha over her but stands back and lets her shine. I'm really glad I started with the novella prequel first before going on to the first novel {The Turncoat King by Michelle Diener} because it lays out all the context.
