some cool shots my photographer friend took of a local band

some shots capturing what it feels like to see an indie band give it their all in a small live house.

there are countless shows happening every night across japan. many artists are not even on streaming platforms.

just people doing what they love and giving the crowd a good time. some of them make it big and most of them don't, but if you never wandered into a random bar or venue, maybe you never would have heard their sound at all.

if you've ever wanted to go to a live show but felt intimidated, i wrote a few guides about how to get started. also, u/livetribe made a really useful site for finding local shows (it is only accessible from japan or with a vpn!). hope you get to see a show soon!
