I want to assign button to cycle through inputs and the knob to adjust brightness. Is this possible?
I have a sync box 8k that I got second hand. It has a strange issue that I’m struggling to resolve and I hope someone here can help.
The setup is a Linux gaming pc, PS5, switch 2, and Apple TV 4K going through the sync box and into an lg c2.
I have a bridge pro close by that is plugged into Ethernet.
I have a gradient strip affixed to the back of the tv.
Syncing works really well for a period of time (30 min-2 hours) when suddenly the backlight drops for a second or two, then comes back, but performance is significantly worse. Instead of a smooth change in brightness, it stair steps from dim to bright, or when changing colors. Almost like the FPS went from 60 to 5. Note that the video stream never cuts out, so it doesn’t seem to be an hdmi negotiation.
Unplugging the sync box from power for a few seconds seems to fix it temporarily.
It’s right next to the bridge and everything’s close to the router so I doubt it’s a lack of signal but I’m not sure.
Any ideas?
Starting two updates ago I’ve been experiencing a bug after waking up my pc.
The behavior:
I wake the computer and Steam is there. I can navigate the OS but the Steam controller is in “lizard mode” indicating Steam Input has not activated yet.
This lasts for around 2 minutes consistently.
During these two minutes if I try to start a game or open Steam input, the UI freezes until the 2 minutes is complete. After the two minutes any commands I entered during this phase all activate at once.
The issue persists both in Gamescope and desktop mode.
Troubleshooting:
Updated both via ujust update and Steam
Uninstalled plugins and removed decky
Removed all custom artwork
Tried a beta version
Issue persists the same regardless.
I do not have this issue on my steam deck.
Specs:
HTPC with AMD hardware (7900xt)
Running the Steam Deck version of bazzite
Steam controller connected via puck
Any ideas would be appreciated, it’s quite annoying to have to wait for a few minutes every time I wake my pc. Thanks in advance.
Since a recent update I’m having some controller issues. I have the Steam controller and when I wake my Bazzite HTPC the controller is stuck in “lizard mode” for around 3 minutes before the buttons begin to fully work in Gamescope.
This wasn’t an issue before. I was hoping the update yesterday would fix but alas.
Today I woke the computer via my Deck and Moonlight/Sunshine and had the same issue. Buttons didn’t work in Gamescope for around 3 minutes then they kicked on.
Any ideas?

I’m a longtime Deck owner and love the feel/placement of the back buttons there. I’ve never accidentally pressed them, my fingers naturally sit on them, but they are easy to ignore if I’m not using them for a particular game. I also have the Switch 2 pro controller and an 8bitdo pro that both have flush back paddles that feel great.
The Steam Controller back buttons by comparison feel intrusive, oddly positioned, and too easily pressed.
My fingers naturally sit so my pinky is below L/R 5, ring finger is in between L/R 4 and middle finger is above L/R4. So when I’m trying to ignore them it just feels uncomfortable. If I want to use them I have to change my grip so my palms are angled out from the grips in order to line my fingers up with the buttons, which feels unnatural to me.
Additionally, I find myself pressing them accidentally, especially if the controller is resting on my leg as I play.
Does anyone else have this problem?
I hope somebody makes a replacement back plate that adjusts the button placement for them.
TL;DR
I wish the buttons were flush, higher up, and harder to press.
My controllers are not responding after the update. I tried the 2.4ghz, a wired OG controller, and a Bluetooth controller. The sync button on the console doesn’t respond and the Bluetooth controller isn’t connecting.
Any tips would be appreciated
Hi all
Possible noob question here.
I have a dual boot PC with Windows and Bazzite. I had Bazzite running on a 1tb ssd and windows on a 2tb.
The goal was to swap them. So I used rescuezilla to create backups of each drive on a 3tb external. Then I wrote over the 2tb drive with my Bazzite data. That worked great.
The windows data was only around 700gb so I assumed it would fit into the 1tb, but I’ve now realized the backup size is the size of the drive itself, not the actual data on it.
Is there any way to shrink the Windows backup to only the size used so I can restore it to the 1tb drive?
Thanks in advance
I was hopeful I’d be able to just wake my Bazzite HTPC with the Steam Controller but it unfortunately doesn’t work. I’ve tried plugging the puck into the red usb port on the back and still no luck.
Any tips or does it just not work with certain hardware?
Has anyone heard of any reviewer testing this?
I don’t know about you all but I didn’t have a PVM or flatscreen CRT growing up. I grew up playing on a little Emerson tv that had rounded corners and curvature that gave the image a slight fisheye effect. I would love to see an option to add and customize these effects as part of the CRT filters for maximum nostalgia.
Hey all. I have a WiiM Amp with some Q1 Metas and a SB 1000 plugged into an LG C2 as a 2.1 setup.
When I start something with audio on the TV (game, movie, YouTube, song) the audio takes 5-10 seconds to kick on.
I have the WiiM amp set to never sleep. Auto sensing of HDMI is ON, group delay is set to low. I even turned on the startup sound for my tv to “wake” up the amp when the TV kicks on. It still seems to take forever to realize there’s audio playing.
Any ideas on how to fix this?
