Using ai to produce murals

We have a local artist in our area who uses ai to create concepts for murals and then projects the image to the wall, pencils it out and paints the image.

What is this community’s thoughts on this process? Are other artists doing this?

The Republic of Uzupis, Vilnius, Lithuania is a great example of artists revitalizing a city

I suggest those interested in urbanism read about Uzupis. Originally a Jewish ghetto and area of town for crafts people before the war, it fell into large disrepair post war due to Nazi and Soviet occupation. In the 1990’s a group of artists declared it the Republic of Uzupis and began squatting in vacant buildings and creating art. Now when you visit there is art around every corner. It’s an amazing bohemian section of an already amazing city.

Vilnius, Lithuania!

I’m at the airport waiting to go back to the states and thought I’d share about my experience in Vilnius for a week. This is also my first time in continental Europe. I don’t do much traveling, so this post is for the reluctant tourist like me.

It is a lovely country and people are friendly although may seem reserved to an American from the south. lol. If you give your best attempt to speak Lithuanian, even just formal greetings they really appreciate it.

We stayed in Old Town which is a great walkable area for someone visiting for the first time.

I bought some linen cloth and amber which are both produced here.

We did two Airbnb experiences— a cooking class and mushroom hunting. I highly recommend doing something like this because you get to meet locals!

We also did a tour of a bomb shelter built during the Cold War, which was really an informative experience.

I also finished the trip off going to a traditional spa which was amazing. I wish this was more common in the states, because I would go all the time.

I would love to go back someday! This has ignited the travel bug in me and I hope to start traveling more. 😎

My sewing etui collection

I love going through antique store cases and finding these! It’s like a treasure hunt.

I’m so excited to visit in a few days!

Labas! I’m traveling with my family to Vilnius next week. It has been a life long dream of mine to visit Lithuania. Our ancestors came from Vilnius around the 1900’s to the States. I know it’s been generations, but I’ve always felt connected to it as a country. I hope this post is not not too cheesy. :)

Must Love Dog Park is going out of business. What’s the best dog park for weekend mornings?

My dog’s favorite park is going out of business. It was a 15 acre dog park with a pond. Where can I take her now on weekend mornings? What’s the best dog park in town?
