Hello. Last year I read The Illiad and The Odyssey and ever since I developed a desire for learning more about greek history.

This felling grew after reading 1177 B.C.: The Year Civilization Collapsed by Eric Cline and playing Total War: TROY. Therefore, I started looking for a history book that will give me an overview of the history of the greeks. Even though I love the Bronze Age, i want to have a more wide panel before diving into this specific period, and I am also curious to learn about Classical Greece.

So, these are the four most suggested books about Ancient Greek available in my country (English is not even my main language, however there arent many others translated), but I don't really know which one to choose. So, which one you guys recommend? Or maybe just get all of them?

Some old folks in this sub might recognize me as the most unbearable Tankclops truther and, even though he could be a killer tank, what we got is absurdly fun and even better than I could imagine. I've been playing since season 0 and this is probably my favorite character ever. Cyclops is easy but at the same time hard because of the hitscan characteristic and the geometric knowledge to bounce his skills, so, after some hours playing him and watching streamers and proplayers, I decided to list some advices to get better:

• You need to improve your aim. Sadly you can't escape this harsh reality: Cyke is a hitscan character and if you are bad at aiming, you wont bring out the best in the character. So, it's very importante to get better at aiming for this characters. And I know, many people say this a lot but few truly explain HOW, but I will.
  • First, for PC players (since im a PC player) you need to find the optimal DPI + sensitivity for your mouse. Right now I'm going with 1600 DPI and 0.80~1.00 sensitivity. I keep changing the last one because some games are faster than others, but this is a solid number, but in general the idea is: the lower the sensitivity, the easier it is to have a focused aim, but harder to move the camera around.
  • Secondly, a good aim requires training. Practice everyday, get some rest and your brain will everything else: its just that simple. I recommend this training routine or this one, even though both are very similar, however watching this video entirely do help a LOT to understand how to aiming works.
• Position yourself and communicate properly. Cyclops is versatile and can be played as an pokebot or an anti-dive or agressive character. I know, this works for almost every character in the game, but it's very important for a squishy 275 HP duelist with brute power like Cyke. Communicating with your team is very essential to win regardless of your playstyle, because things can get crazy very easily in a hero shooter, so here's my top styles:
  • My favorite way of playing Cyke is by embracing the true pokeslop way of life, and only advancing to secure important kills. Scott can put enough pressure and farm his ultimate easily by poking. However you need to have protection tools, either from the map or from your tanks (do not think you are Rambo, because you will die easily by advancing like crazy), and also be close to your supports to peel for them, because with a good aim you can destroy divers and protect your healers with ease.
  • Another good way to take advantage of the character is by flanking: you can destroy the enemy backline with 2x main attack + e or hit a great ultimate that gives your team the necessary advantage to advance. But learn when to: flanking or diving can only work if the enemy team is focusing on your frontline, so basically you need your team to be putting pressure and this is easily done by... communicating. Seriously, be the leader of mutantkind and just talk with your team. Also use Optic Ascent or/and Propulsion Burst to leave after securing a kill.
• Concussive Beam is a difficult ability to talk about, because in my experience it just doesn't do much damage like his Optic Blasts, but its good to apply pressure into grouped enemies and farm your ultimate. However, overall I think its the weakest ability in his kit, specially when the ricochet effect is almost impossible to aim in order to secure kills.
• My favorite part: Ricochet Force. It's an amazing ability and I think it should be used for two main reasons: Hit on the head if you want to secure kills; but if you ain't certain, hit the ground so it can bounce and deal more damage to more enemies (its great because you can farm your ult, which I will talk later). There's an unique SFX when its available so you can keep track of your charges very easily so use it when you hit 2.
• Now, the part we all have been seeing and what most people talk: his ultimate. Ruby Rage is a powerful ability but most people are using it incorrectly in my opinion. Yes, it deals a LOT of damage but it's also easy to avoid and it requires strategy and team plan more than any other part of his kit to be used in full potential. Do not use it just because you saw some clip of a Groot going 100-0 beause of it, its not easy for this to occur and people are quickly learning this. So far I think there are two most optimal ways of letting your consussive power go loose:
  • Firstly and the most frequent: use it to apply pressure. Waste it when the enemy support has his ultimate and force him to waste it to protect their teammates from Ruby Rage. This is very common and not very cool because you wont be farming clips like you have been seeing in this subreddit, but it's VERY important to win games. Why? Because in Rivals the game works around strategists: engaging when your supports have their ultimates and retreating when the enemy support used his, so wasting theirs is ESSENTIAL to be ahead.
  • OPTIC FURY! Just like in my video you indeed can use it to annihilate your enemies but alone it's not very easy to hit when against smart players. So, another alternative is using it alongside your team. In the clip showed, my Groot said he was going to ult, so I hit mine alongside his and he won the fight (and the game). It can work with Emma, The Thing, Venom's dive or any other crowd control you can think of. See what I mean about communicating? It really win games, man.
• Some small combo advice:
  • Optic Blast have a delay between attacks so its also interesting to waste you Ricochet between them. Basically Optic Blast > Ricochet > Optic Blast.
  • u/Kyrptonauc pointed that when facing melee characters you can weave melees during the same combo: Optic Blast > Melee > Optic Blast > Ricochet.

Another important advice: don't get discouraged after some bad games. It happens and it's part of the journey to be good.
