Lusting in AA +17 or higher keys (what is the norm?) I hear different opinions

What are the ideal times to lust in AA? I hear different lust requests. First trash pull is a given, but generally there are arguments about lusting. Some want lust right away at bird boss, some want it in fire phase, some want it in wind phase, some dont want it at all at the bird boss and want it at Vexamus trash pull, some want it saved for final boss. It is frustrating as a luster lol

so what is the norm??

Came back after 2 decades - Solo pugged my way to 3400 Myth. What worked and what didn't...BM hunter

Logged in 20 years later and found WoW to be practically a whole new game. I was new to the Myth system. I have odd schedules. That means I am a free agent (solo guild of alts). I was told you can't do myth+ at high keys when solo pugging. Myth system for solo pug as a dps is indeed painful. After many declines, and several failed myth runs, I found something that started working steady. I would like to share...

What works:

  • Build resilient keys, instead of always doing your highest keys. People in LFG love resilient keys. It allows you to redo your myth runs and improve your scores without damaging your key. It is also easier to find good groups with resilient keys.
  • Bribe! yes Bribe works! When applying for someone else's run, bribe the application with Feasts, or even Hearty feasts tom improve your chances of getting accepted. I started getting consistent invites to group once I started putting a note that I have feasts, hearty feasts, or even resilient keys for more follow-up runs.
  • Always Simulate your gear and build. You won't always have bis gear. You will be surprised how much you can boost your dps by simulating various gear pieces you have.
  • Be sure you know how to play your build the best. But don't be scared to switch between manual and SBA rotations. Don't just always stick to one playstyle. Use the tool. In tight situations, SBA and Manual rotations will be close in damage (unless you are a perfect player with perfect response times while keeping your sh*t together). SBA is a great pugg myth survival tool. SBA allows you to focus on things when something goes wrong or simply to relieve a bit of pressure. Don't be rigid. Don't ignore it.
  • Learn Trash mobs! Bosses are kind of a given. But what works is understanding trash mob mechs.
  • Have a source of money for the consumables and other stuff. If you can't make your own pots and such, focus on making some money. This isn't a money-making post, so figure this one out on your own. You are going to need $$$ for the top buffs.
  • Focus on main heavy teams. Just because everyone is an alt of a 3500 rating and 290+ gearscore, doesn't mean that their alt can be just as good. Most times I found alt heavy teams to fail due to mismanaged expectations.

What doesn't work:

  • Rushing doesn't work. Don't try to jump too many levels too fast. It seems like a good idea at first to get quick rating. But in the long run, as a pug dps, it will land you in trouble. Specifically, in the final stretch of 3300 to 3400 you will slow down considerably. The final stretch is the longest and the hardest. Save some patience for this.
  • Don't always wait for meta groups. You will be wasting your time waiting, whereas a less-than-ideal group can also do the job if there is some common sense floating around.
  • Dont spam friend every good tank and healer to build your own team if you dont have a consistent schedule. Most times you wont be able to remake the same group again.
  • Cheesy titles (e.g Big Pumpers only) in LFG won't work in finding good groups.
  • Abandoning too soon. If you have a good group. Don't just abandon on a few first deaths. You'd be surprised how smooth things can go even after a wipe on the first trash pull. Don't let a group fall apart after wipe on bad luck. I have personally timed 16+ dungeons even after a wipe.

In the end, be patient, be nice and try to enjoy the game 😄 It's good to be back

Edit: WoW! thanks for the +ve vibes!

can radiance crafted jewelry proc extra stats like speed or avoidance?

Is it worth getting repeat re-crafts to try and proc additional stats on items like the Sindorei Amulet etc? Has anyone seen these items with additional stats?

Edit: I am not saying I am either for or against this feature, I just wanna know the answer. As someone mentioned, I too recall seeing crafted armor with tertiary stats. Not sure if it is still the case or not.

Why is 'effectiveness' of Steam Next Fest still predictable in the fickle Game Market of today?

I am an indie developer, and a full-time mom. Game Development is my main bread and butter. I have seen a drastic change in Next Fest dynamics since 2024 (my first Next Fest for my first game), but the result still fits within predictable norms.

Now round #2! I have my 2nd game in the Jun 2026 Next Fest. I learned some lessons from the 1st Next Fest and applied to the 2nd one. One thing is for sure; it is extremely hard to stand out than it was 2 years ago! Likely because of the sheer volume of games participating. June Next Fest has 5000 titles!

I went into this June Next Fest with over 15k Wishlists, compared to the 2k Wishlists in my first NF.

1st NF (2024) I ended up with 1000 WL by the end of the event. About half of my pre-NF WL

Current NF: So far around 1000 WL on the first day. Will likely end up with around 4-7k WL by the end of the event. Again, around half of my WL going in.

My question is: Why is Next Fest still predictable? Even if the gaming market is currently "supposedly" unstable. Why does pre-NF wishlist still hold so much gravity during NF?

I want to hear from some game devs who have experienced some exceptions.

Do you lose your Dawncrests if a recraft fails to produce ilvl 285?

I guess my question is if a recraft fails to produce 285 item level (something about crafters concentration, skill etc). and I need another recraft. Will I need to put in another 80 dawncrests?

EDIT: to clarify, I am recrafting a hero track item into a myth track item (Farstrider's Sharpened Claws)

EDIT2: I was able to get my item crafted to 281 (I forgot to check max quality). Then I had to put in another recraft order (sigh) and was able to get to 285.

FYI for anyone wondering , a recraft from 281 to 285 doesnt need another 80 myth crests

What is the best way for new player to reach 3000 M+ rating (no carries)?

So, I want to reach 3000 before season end. I am currently around 2600 (everything timed at 10+ pugging my way ). Seems to not be growing much now. Crawled my way to 281 gear.

Do yall aim for everything at 13? or do you aim for 1 or 2 dungeons at 16+ and rest at 10?

Edit: I am playing as a dps (BM hunter)

is there no dungeon queue for Mythics? or am I missing something?

So I am back relearning WoW after a 2 decade hiatus. I have crawled my way to 260+ gear doing just delves and rituals. I want to do some mythics but is there no way to queue for them?
