Any former baristas out there that went straight to bartending after?

I feel like being a barista at Starbucks requires the same skillset as the average bartender and I really wanna use this job as a pipeline to get into bartending to make the big bucks.

Anyone care to share their experience/tips?

I’m about to start working in San Pedro as a Torrance resident that’s not really familiar with the area other than the Korean Bell and Sunken City. Besides those two, what does SP have to offer? Sights, food, activities, hidden gem spots, etc.

I went to Redondo Pier for the 4th of July last year and made the mistake of going past 8pm. Plan to go again this year and won’t be making that same mistake again. For the people who also went last year and managed to secure a decent parking spot, what time did you go?

Any baristas out there who did better on their first interview compared to the second one with the DM but got hired anyway?

Even though the second interview was easier and shorter, my interview with the SM went much smoother and was executed better. My brain completely turned to mush with the DM and I feel like I bombed it. Anyone out there with a similar experience that got the job anyway? I could really use the copium lol.

Did it take anyone a while to be informed they got the job after the second interview? Specifically after it passed the deadline for when they said they’d reach back to you?

It’s past the deadline for me after the second interview with the DM that told me they would get back to me about whether I got the job or not. Do people who get hired usually get informed they got the job within that deadline? Cause if so, I’m guessing it’s safe to assume I didn’t get the job.

Are there any people going solo that are joining together to make a group for tomorrow’s Mexico vs Korea match in Ktown? I’m thinking of going solo and would like to meet up with other solo people!

I’m sorry but are you people INSANE??? I had to circle for parking multiple times for work cause of this consumerist herd mentality! Surely this line isn’t for a BAG???
