Pubs that play trad music

Hi all, I have some family visiting and would like to bring them to a trad session. Do you know of any pubs in Ennis that have trad sessions during the week? Thanks!

Blush dupe request

Hi all, there was this blush that I used to absolutely love and wear everyday but has sadly been discontinued years ago (Makeup Revolution "Treat"). I want to make a new attempt at finding another blush with the same shade (pictured). I think it's rosy but with a hint of warmth, not super pigmented. When I look at other blushes I usually see no in-between, either pink or super bright peach. I don't mind spending a bit for a close match. Any tips welcome!

Steel plates and cups?

Hi all, I am looking to try out steel plates and cups instead of plastic for my kids, I was wondering if anyone had any to recommend or could point out where to buy them? I see some on Amazon but they all seem to have a silicone sleeve which I'm not interested in, so any suggestion is welcome

Feeling very lonely

I'm not sure what I'm looking for really, maybe I just need to let it out a bit.

We have a 3 and a 1 year old and I'm just back at work and I'm not going to lie, it's pretty full on at the moment with zero breaks during the day.

Some days I'm finding quite hard and I really miss someone, especially another mum, that I can talk to and meet up sometimes for a coffee and a chat.

I'm not from Ireland so my family is not here. I miss not living near the friends I had in my country who also have kids now, and I feel jealous and sad when I see them meeting up for play dates or movie nights.

I tried with both babies to join mum groups/baby yoga and stuff, and while it was nice to chat a bit with other mums I struggle to go beyond the generic polite chat. I don't know if it's because I'm not Irish or because I'm an introvert, maybe more the second one. The rare times that I talked a bit more with someone else and exchanged numbers, we would end up meeting up a couple of times then it would fizzle out, and I would just leave it at that since I was always the one initiating.

I tried the peanut app, but that was a dead end because I couldn't find other mums near me since I'm in a small village. I have a bit of a chat with the neighbours when I see them, there's lots of young kids in our estate, but there's no café or place to meet where we are apart from maybe the playground.

I have some friends from college, but we all live further away now, especially the ones with kids, so it's hard to meet.

My husband is Irish and I get along with his family, but I don't have much of a relationship with his siblings. Our kids are also the only grandkids, so we don't have other cousins that we can meet up and play with.

The 1 year old is still a horrible sleeper (hoping that she'll get better once she starts crèche or I'm going to lose my mind), and some nights when I'm there and she just won't go back to sleep I feel very lonely knowing that I have nobody to talk about it the day after.

I really miss having a good friend to talk about not only kids stuff, but all sorts of random things like books and movies and nerdy things.

I don't know what to ask for, maybe someone can give me some advice or share their experience?

This came out a lot longer than I expected, sorry about that

Libri della buona notte

Sto cercando dei suggerimenti per libri da leggere prima della nanna, per variare un po' dai due che abbiamo al momento. Quali sono i vostri preferiti? Per un bambino di tre anni ma anche in previsione di quando crescerà!

Alternatives to Google Photos (and WhatsApp?) to share pictures with family

I know this question has been asked many times, but here I am! I just started to think about degoogling and the main thing that I'm going to miss is having a shared Google photos album where my family can see pictures of my kids.

Before I jump onto using a Google Photos alternative I'd like to know which ones are the best to have a shared album where different users can upload their pictures, also considering that I would be willing to pay for a subscription but my other family members probably won't be. And it would also need to be able to handle a lot of pictures (something that I noticed Google photos is struggling with on my phone lately).

As a side note, if I wanted to share pictures of the kids on a texting app which ones would you consider the most trustworthy?
