I won a bet against my husband about a diaper and now I can shop for purse up to $6k!

Don’t ask me why my husband made a bet against me, but I won! So now I have up to $6k to get a designer bag and I’m so excited! I have a small collection that’s a little bit of everything so I’m not married to any type of designer. I have been looking for a medium to smallish leather or exotic leather bag that I can keep my daughters epi pen, my wallet, sunglasses, small pack of wet ones, keys, etc. I’m graduating from the diaper bag stage and want something that I can wear casually with cute tennis dress or with jeans. The other part of me says Chanel nano Kelly shopper just for me when I go out solo. I’m open to vintage but I was just hoping to get some feedback or ideas.

How do you approach other parents who have snacks for their children in the same play area?

I have a toddler who is severely allergic to all nuts, sesame and mustard. I feel like I always have to be hyper vigilant about watching the area we are in for others eating snacks. As soon as I see a parent approaching with food I say a friendly hello and ask if there are any of my daughter’s allergies in the food the child is eating. Next, the parent is fumbling around trying to read the ingredients of whatever snack their child is eating, informs me and I can make the decision whether or not we can stay or not. I haven’t had anyone be rude yet, just annoyed at most. Just looking for shared experiences, feedback, etc from other parents as I am a first time mom navigating this world. Thanks.

Firing a client because they’re corporate management is insufferable to work with. Late payments, etc.

I’ve been working with a client for 7 months. I was a former employee way back in the day so I have a relationship with the owner. I’ve had issues with their management company for sometime now and the meeting I had today just solidified everything I’ve been feeling. I come here asking for advice because I am a very reactionary person and just need to sit and think about firing them. I freelance in the hospitality world. I don’t need to work as my husband supports us just fine but I work because I like to, it’s a safety net, and not to toot my own horn but I’m so good in this niche. I have talked to the owner and he has his own issues with management company as well. This just seems like it’s not worth the headache anymore. They were almost two months late on payment, I told them I would stop all work, and then the next day the owner took it upon himself to make a cash deposit to my business account. Today, someone in corporate was telling me not to include pictures of bartenders. I said why? One of the social media accounts is a restaurant with a cocktail bar? She couldn’t give me an answer so I just told her why don’t we look at the data at what the audience is responding to as far as content goes before making any adjustments to what’s posted. I will gladly take any feedback on what you see posted but all of my numbers on social media are up 130% and I have a lot of trust built and can make decisions with ownership. She went on and on and on and so I just said I will take into consideration what you are telling me but until I am paid on time then we can go back and visit changing the systems that I have in place with the owner and general manager. Not sure what to do. Thoughts?

How are we storing old toys for future kids?

My daughter is almost two and we have a solid collection of Montessori and Lovevery toys. I don’t want to sell them or give them away because we want more children and who knows how expensive everything will be when we are ready to grow our family. I have some in a big tote in her closet but just wondering if there is anything creative or insider tips out there.

Why is my 19 mo going to bed so late.

Please don’t tell me I have to drop a nap lol My toddler has been going to bed around 9:30-10 pm and I’m pooped by then. We wake up at 7:45 am. She takes a nap from 12-1:45 pm. She use to go to bed at 8-8:30 which was fine because I could stay up another hour with my husband but over the last week she’s been going to bed closer to 9:30-10 pm and I don’t know what to do. She just started walking the last two weeks and just wants move. Not sure if that anything to do with it. Just looking for advice.

What happened to George’s keep?

Went for the first time in 4 years maybe? I usually hang out in pearl area. Anyways, went last night for shits and giggles, and it was literally shit and giggles. No dress code, girls in tennis’s shoes and shorts. I remember it being more upscale and an older crowd.

By far the most comfortable designer shoe I own.

I know the dad socks probably kill the look but I was rushing leaving the house 😂 I’ve been wearing these all day - road trip, walks, exploring, and my feet do not hurt at all! Im so in love!

I didn’t get anything for Mother’s Day.

This my second Mother’s Day. I didn’t get a card, flowers or anything. When I asked my husband this morning to wake up our 18 mo so I can have my coffee outside he said he to shower and had stuff to do. I said it’s Mother’s Day just humor me once. He said so. Eventually made his way to wake her up. Around 2 pm I said so I think I know the answer but I just have to ask, is there no card or anything? He said no he didn’t have time. (He tried to leave 10 minutes before the brunch I was hosting at home started to go to the smoke shop. He said he would have gotten flowers but i rushing him to get home) I told him Mother’s Day is the same day every year. I prepped brunch for 10 people while getting myself and baby ready. You can have at least drew something with our daughter and a marker on cardstock. Eventually I just said why am I even wasting my breath lol I’m outside now with my daughter and her water table soaking up the sun. I think me and her will watch a movie in her bed on the iPad and just snuggle before it’s time for bed. I had severe PPD and PPA and now I think it’s just time I move on. It’s really sad.

I knew I was going to regret it when I planted the seeds in the corner last year. I read all the warnings and did it anyway. Sigh. Lol.

Edit: I am in central Texas. They were beautiful in the spring and climbed all of the fence and corner. Then the Texas sun nuked them all. I knew they would reseed a little bit but they are ALL over my yard. It’s kinda funny.
