What's your song/piece of music, that hasn't been the same since it was interrupted by something?

I didn't know how to word the title, so let me explain.

When I was a teen, I downloaded 'Against All Odds', the Mariah and Westlife variation, from virus-sharing site Limewire (rip).

Somewhere in the song, was a random sneeze. Now, all these years later, I can't listen to it without expecting the sneeze.

R. Kelly's 'I believe I can fly' was the feature on an advert for a compilation album. Now I can't listen to it without expecting "Big Hits '98" to cut in after the first "I believe I can fly"

And finally, I watched so much The Box, that whenever I listen to Murder on The Dancefloor by Sophie Ellis Bexter, I shout "the altogether!" Just before she sings "if you think you're getting awaaaay", because that's what the man in the video shouts.

I can't be the only one 🤣

BDSM/Kink events

This is a last resort post! Tried Google and specialist sites but to no avail.

My partner (35M) and I (38F) are in a (straight) femme/sub relationship, and looking for BDSM/Kink events in the area.

Has anyone got any recommendations please?

What is your favourite PG curse word/words?

This is a hard question, because when I'm cursing, I am CURSING. But it got me wondering, what is your favourite PG way to curse?

Divorce/financial order advice needed please - England

Yesterday, I had the Conditional Order for my divorce issued 🎉

Today, I have spoken to my solicitor about the next steps, and I am completely floored by her quote. I don't know what I am going to do to reach a financial agreement.

Some context - my (soon-to-be) ex-husband is currently in prison for strangling me. He was sentenced to 20 months, and is due out next month.

Whilst he has been in prison, I have been unable to maintain mortgage payments (£1800 per month), so the mortgage has fallen into £19,000 in arrears.

I have been unable to sell the house, as he is on the mortgage so need his permission.

My solicitor's advice -

We write to him (via the prison) seeking his agreement to the sale of the property and requesting that he sign the necessary documentation

We issue Form A to formally commence financial remedy proceedings, which will protect your position and ensure the matter is before the court

She then states that if I am looking to instruct her to do that for me, then I am likely looking at costs in total of £5,000 - £15,000.

If I had £15,000, then I wouldn't be in arrears of £19,000.

I've had a look at Form A - it may as well be in hieroglyphics for all the sense I can make of it

I've got a 5 year restraining order out on my ex; so he cannot contact me unless through a solicitor.

I really don't know what to do next

Benefits/UC advice needed please

Bear with me, as this is likely to be a long post (I just need to get all my bases covered!)

I live in England and have 2 children (with different fathers) aged 6 and 15.

I am the victim of domestic violence; my (soon-to-be) ex-husband is in prison for intentional strangulation, and is due to be released next month. He is the father of my 6 year old, and as he is in prison, I don't get any maintenance.

We own a house together, but unfortunately it is in £17k of arrears, as I cannot afford the repayments myself - they are £1790 a month.

I currently work shift work (2 days, 2 lates and 2 nights) and my take home pay is £2300.

I am going to have to give up my current job; the shift work just does not work anymore now that I am on my own.

I currently get £300 a month from my eldest's Dad in maintenance, but he wants to live with his Dad now, so I won't be in receipt of that anymore.

My 6 year old has to go to wrap around care, which, after 20% tax free childcare deductions, costs me around £300 a month.

What can I do moving forwards in regards to work, so that I can maintain some income, but with enough that UC will top me up so that we can have some sort of life? I'm currently living hand-to-mouth, despite earning what I do, and not making the mortgage payments.

Edited to add - obviously I need to sell the house, but at the moment I can't do anything as I need my ex's permission to do so. When he is released I have a 5 year restraining order in place

Who remembers those tiny red bugs you used to see in the garden as a kid?

Are they still a thing? I haven't seen any since I was a kid, but is that because I don't spend any time on the floor in the garden anymore?

Can you tell whether a dog is a boy or girl just from looking at their face?

Have a guess 😁

Possible unpopular opinion - Charlotte Tilbury products are overrated. Help me change my mind

I got a Fenwicks voucher not too long ago, and I knew exactly what I was going to spend it on! I excitedly headed to the CT counter, had an assistant product and colour match me to a foundation shade (and let her upsale a Dream Cream and Airbrush Flawless Setting Spray), and bought Airbrush Flawless foundation.

Disappointed is an understatement. By the end of the day, the foundation still hadn't settled on my skin. It was patchy and could be wiped off with a finger.

I gave it the benefit of the doubt - and opened my purchase - I wasn't sure if it was the application method by the girl in the store, or if the Dream Cream she'd put on hadn't had chance to sink into the skin.

Nonetheless, the product never did sit right on my skin.

I then decided to give Beautiful Skin a chance, but it just didn't give me the coverage I like, yet so cakey!

As for the Dream Cream, I just find it a greasy slick.

Am I just being miserable and have bought the wrong products?

I just really wanted to love it all
