I don't think there's any argument that our best asset is a hall of fame coach who has completely changed our trajectory as a franchise from a team who was in the pits of hell without draft assets and a 200 million dollar husk of a qb into one broken ankle away from the superbowl.

I personally think Nix is a good qb. Is he worth 50 million a year? That's a very good question that will get answered at the end of the year. And the one answering that question will be our head coach, front office and ownership who have been excellent ever since 2023.

There are arguments from both sides. Nix hasnt shown consistent enough play to warrant superstar money but he has also shown clutchness, improvement consistently as seasons have gone on and the offense has some flaws that hinder him.

I think I'm comfortable because whatever coach payton goes with i will back him to the hilt and he is the boss man.

And i feel comfortable with saying he will make the right decision.

His first big decision was cutting russ. Brilliant decision

Second one was drafting nix. No matter what you think it was a success.

The third one i think he will get right as well.

I fully trust the coach and for your own mental peace let the team deal with tough decisions, we don't have Hackett calling the shots or bad owners to make things hard.

We were heavy underdogs.

Our defense was cooking purdy and the offense until our 2 starting corners got hurt and even then purdy had a slightly better performance than nix who according to the sub had an 'abysmal' game.

We have the same issues. O line penalties killed the first quarter, no run game and wr drops. Nothing new and ground breaking.

Despite that we were in the game at a hostile environment against the hottest team in the league until kittle scored.

Nix didnt make many mistakes, didnt get sacked or throw an interception and took what the 49ers gave him ok. Not saying he was elite or even good but he was fine. We lost the game from the miffed punt.

We soon after 2 weeks play much easier teams and defenses and our offense and defense will look a lot better. I think we comfortably make the playoffs if surtain is back.

Idk i didn't think it was the end of the world and as usual it's all fire everyone don't extend nix , aka world ending analysis. I saw someone say trading for payton was a bad idea in the post game thread🤣🤣🤣

When sutton is discussed among our fans and also with respect to waddle I have heard a lot of 'finally good to have a receiver who actually seperates and gets open'. Hes also called slow and unathletic

I am a new fan so maybe I'm not understanding better than you guys but when i see Sutton who I've watched all 4 years of my nfl Fandom hes absolutely an elite route runner who is super savvy and gets easy separation with his route running on a variety of routes either in the sideline, short game or middle of the field crossers. I also constantly see him able to win using elite body control, acceleration after line of scrimage, deceleration and is open a LOT. Hes also elite at contested catches

Its a completely different conversation if we are talking about yards after the catch where he basically does nothing. He definitely doesnt have an extra gear despite having a nice change of speed and direction so once he catches it, the play is done. But before it he is winning reps vs star corners on a multitude of ways not just making tough contested catches.

Am i right or is this completely wrong lol

So basically unless he never allowed any catches on his receiver it seems crazy to me that people are saying he wasnt a good tackler because i feel like a lot of schemes currently are with zone defense and every player has to tackle as the nearest guy.

How did he make it work?

I heard that worthy set a nfl record in speed in combine or something but hes not looked very good in chiefs

Was it just that tyreek was just so good at route running compared to other speedsters or is there more

I feel like the first 2 years i kept hearing 'system player' 'fluke' 'anyone can look good with this roster and shanahan'

All while he was playing so good consistently.

They also acted like the hate was justified in 2024 season when the team didnt do so well and finally only starting last year he started getting proper respect.

I always thought that a guy who was drafted last and made it to the top without supreme athletic gifts would be seen as a hero and an underdog everyone roots for but i was shocked to see so much hate and people wishing he is bad for no reason.

1. Wrs 2 and 3 out after the first drive. Lil jordan was at that point getting snaps as wr 3.

2. Zero run game because bills defense was a horrible matchup for us because they had an excellent passing defense who got reasonably healthy at the right time while we had no chance to take advantage of their poor run d due to non existent run game without jk.

3. Had to lead a game leading score or go home situation in the face of immense pressure and dropped a crazy dime for a td

4. Josh allen made some bad turnovers and we had 2 big takeaways but defense couldn't get a stop outside that due to how diverse bills offense was. Bo was under immense pressure to make the most of it.

5. Had to outgun possibly the best qb in the league and one of the best playoff performers of all time.

6. Bills d line also was strong in second half and bo had to adapt in 4th quarter after getting pressured relentlessly in the third. Josh allen faced almost no adversity outside of his stupid turnovers and the miracle int

I think before this game most of the fanbase would have agreed bo was a franchise qb but not top tier like a derek carr. But he single handedly on offense took on a giant and slayed them. Idc about seed, they had advantages all over the field. Bo won that game on the offensive side with not much help. I think this is the game that we understood bo was truly special and someone who can and will win playoff games

Can anyone with more knowledge confirm and tell me whether I'm right or they deserve the criticism they get? Or that they are treated unfairly and are better than the average middle line backer.

I think strnad also improved vs the pass.

but every mlb i hear who's not a superstar i hear they aren't good vs the pass lol

I've been told this a few times and also read this a few times.

I was also told that Saban is the best overall coach in football in terms of tactics and innovation even over Belichick but chose to remain in college.

In nba fans will immediately call guys studs if they play well regardless of draft position and also shun immediately if they end up bad. Numerous recent top picks as examples.

Same in soccer or cricket. Players who were bought for a lot of money and don't perform are shunned or if bought for cheap and perform are instant heroes

But in nfl post draft it seems like they like sticking to their guns for a long time either based on draft position or pre draft analysis. It's like they are rooting for them to fail or succeed based off of that itself.

1. Win vs chiefs after 17 games

2. Win at arrowhead after 10 years

3. Breaking 8 game losing streak vs raiders, currently 4 game win streak vs them including first win at Vegas.

4. First 9+ win season since superbowl 50

5. First playoff appearance and then win since superbowl 50

6. First top seed in 10 years

7. Won an away game after a year and a half of no away wins from mid 2021 to early 2023 season

10. Only second broncos qb to be drafted by team and have a playoff win

Yes a lot of things are a bit arbitrary but i feel like our team is in such a blessed position and I'm so happy and proud to be a broncos right now

Yeah I'm so sure I'd rather have a qb who beats up trash teams rather than actually play well vs teams with good defenses. People are twisting themselves into a knot to justify that bo isn't the real deal lol

I know it's opinionated but for me this is the greatest episode of horror ever.
