age of piercing: 11 months
jewelry shape: 18k gold internally threaded (not flatback, had a flatback before but switched back to regular)
has it been downsized: got downsized once, irritated, upsized, irritated because i left it in too long, then recently downsized again
aftercare routine: neilmed sterile saline once in morning once before bed
recent unfortunate events: none, i have no idea why this swelling is coming back
so I got this piercing back in August 2025 and in december of the same year I took it out because I wanted to clean it and ended up closing and I went back to my piercer to get the jewelry put in again and it was very very irritated and in January it started embedding so I got a longer bar, but I ended up keeping the bar in for too long because I went to another country so I wasn’t able to visit my piercer and it got irritated because the bar was too long and it was moving around too much now just recently I got a shorter bar and the irritation became a lot less, but it started to flare up again, and I don’t know why and it’s been so long and I’m just getting really frustrated
i only use neilmed sterile saline to clean it 2 times a day, no touching. thats it
any advice is greatly appreciated

this morning at 6am my dad woke me and my brother up because my mom had collapsed onto the ground, she was covered in her own vomit and so was the floor and she was barely conscious
we had to call an ambulance which took 25 minutes to arrive, and it turned out to be a blood pressure problem
she’s in the hospital and everything is fine, but while i was at school i didn’t know that
i borrowed my classmates ipad to text my brother, but instagram and vpns are banned in my school and ppl get expelled cus of it
my teacher caught me and yelled at me for 35 minutes and forced me to tell her what happened to my mom and i started choking and tearing up
i went to the bathroom after she was done and when i came back the entire class found out about my mom from my friend and everyone asked me what happened and i felt like dying right there
ive never cried infront of anyone except my boyfriend before this was the most embarrassing thing ever, everyone saw my red eyes and wet eyelashes and when someone asked me if im ok i felt like sobbing even more
i couldnt control my tears for the next hour and it felt so bad like everybody was judging me
i feel so embarrassed and sad
was getting head from my bf and later he told me that i had toilet paper stuck in my ass from when i cleaned up before we started doing it. this is going to haunt me for the rest of my life.
bought it cus i thought it was a simple saline solution then read the box and found out it has tea tree oil and that other stuff in it, now im not sure if i should use it. any good or bad experiences with this?
