Going to an astrologer to have my chart read used to be exciting. Until, after yet another uninspiring take, it dawned on me that maybe, just maybe, the astrologer thinks “Pisces, what do I know about them? I can’t handle this.”

For example, my chart has Saturn at the end of the 6H and technically conjunct the Desc within less than 4 degrees. Astrologers read my chart as Saturn in 7 until one finally said I need to see it both ways.

From then on my desire for hot food instead of salad made total sense because that’s one of “lighter” interpretations of Saturn in the 6H.

This week I had the distinct pleasure of being targeted for unwarranted criticism not just by my boss (who targets me whenever I bring up something a colleague did wrong and that meant extra work for the team) but by our collective new “friend” AI. I pointed out how I did not make the mistakes my boss accused me of, but that was ignored (no surprise here). Who was at fault? AI. It saw many errors where only one existed. The narc boss failed to see the problem.

TL;DR My job involves among other things converting documents from one format to another, PDF to Powerpoint (PPT), for example. It is my duty to check for errors in this process, but we also have human proofreaders my boss prefers that we use. Sometimes there are a lot of issues with a conversion, and sometimes there is just one or two. With PPT there are usually very few if any. So I did the conversion and noticed no spelling or format errors. I did not see a missing header on the cover page which of course my boss was more than happy to point out later on except that’s what the proofreader is for…

Here comes the thing that we all need to watch out for. When we use AI, a human is supposed to double check if it made mistakes. In this case, my document was returned to the client (without proofing by the proofreader). The client ran it through Legora. Legora reported errors on almost every single slide in this PPT document.

The client complained to my boss. My boss immediately criticized me for carelessness. I apologized but could not believe how I could have been at fault. My document was part of a set of five. Two other colleagues had worked on the project. I wondered if one of them had mistakenly done my document as well in a different way, created the errors, and that my boss incorrectly attributed it to me.

So I redid the conversion and found the one error on the cover page that I could have spotted if I had not been overconfident. My boss did not respond to my email. Then I got an email from another client thanking me for doing such a great job with a similar conversion. I forwarded this to my boss who responded, “well, that was a different situation,” completely ignoring it involved the exact same process and software.

But my boss did spill the proverbial beans about what happened with that first project. They had a human double check my original work and found only that one glaring mistake on the cover page. My boss still did not apologize because, in the world of the narc, they don’t have to.

Save everything folks. I did, saving every email locally. Performance reviews are only a few months away!

Is it only me, or does anyone else just not know what they want to be in life?

When I was little, movies inspired my imagination so much. I would dress up as a cowboy, a soldier, or pretty much anything, and create fake scenarios and stories in my head. I could spend hours just making things up and pretending I was someone else.

Then things started to change. I started getting into social media, especially YouTube, and I fell in love with the idea of becoming a content creator. My sister and I would record fake YouTube challenges, make up videos, and basically just use our imaginations to create things. I was little, though, so I never really took it seriously.

Then I got my first PC in 2020 and started streaming games like Fortnite, Valorant, and others. But once again, I never truly committed to it, and eventually I moved on to something else.

And honestly, if I had to describe the last seven years of my life, I would say my mind has been a fucking mess.

It feels like I'll have this AMAZING idea one day, and I'll execute it while seeing so much potential and vision in it. I'll be completely obsessed with it and feel like, "This is it. This is what I want to do." Then a few weeks later, I'll stop and move on to something completely different. Just like that.

I could probably name 50 different things I've tried doing.

And that's really why I'm here.

Yesterday, I started researching my zodiac sign, Pisces, and I noticed that a lot of the things I read actually felt weirdly relatable. I started looking into little things about myself that I had never really thought about before.

For example, music.

I LOVE music. Whatever song I'm listening to is usually how I'm feeling at that exact moment. If I'm sad, I'll listen to sad music. If I'm happy, I'll listen to something that matches that feeling. I don't really listen to sad songs when I'm happy, or happy songs when I'm sad. Music almost feels like an extension of whatever is going on inside my head.

And movies are another huge one for me.

I love movies because I feel like I'm actually inside of them. I love watching someone take an idea, an imagination, or a story that existed only in their head and somehow bring it to life on a screen. There's something about that that has always fascinated me.

I haven't drawn in a long time, but when I was in school, I used to draw these random lines that would connect and go in all different directions until the entire page was filled. When I finished, I wouldn't even decide what it was supposed to be. I'd just look at it and let someone else decide what they thought it was.

It almost felt like I wasn't even drawing it myself. I was just letting whatever was in my head come out.

There are so many more things I could sit here and talk about, but I guess I'm really here because I'm trying to understand myself as a person.

And honestly, I can't even do that right now.

I'm scared to start another new idea because I feel like I'll just end up doing what I've always done. I'll become obsessed with it, see an entire future for it, put everything into it for a little while, and then eventually lose interest and move on.

But at the same time, I don't want to keep living like that.

And maybe this sounds weird, but I think deep down, I just wish I could be everything.

I want to create movies. I want to make videos. I want to make music. I want to tell stories. I want to create things that exist in my imagination and somehow bring them into the real world.

Maybe that's why I've struggled so much with figuring out what I want to be.

Maybe I don't actually want to be just one thing.

i feel like people see me as overly sensitive, emotional, “difficult” and like to paint me as “the bad guy”. i genuinely always have pure intentions… as the risk of sounding insufferable i feel like im honestly too nice and wear my heart on my sleeve which has been very painful. it seems like people sense this and then use me as an easy target.

The fourth house is “home and family” in the traditional interpretation. This is where we find comfort and dysfunction alike the moment we step away from our pursuits in the world.

How do you see your home?

Is it a comfort zone, a haven of peace and quiet or a place to find new inspiration?

Does it bring back good memories or of conflict and abuse?

There are many subtle things that can impact our sense of home and belonging. Other things may not be so subtle yet they may still be overlooked. When we interpret the chart, we may not always be ready for what the fourth house has to offer. Time may have to do its thing and we may have to grow more aware.

What if the nodes are in the fourth house? The north node could imply a mission of establishing family and a home base. But what if the IC is in Aries, implying constant activity or battles at home?

A south node in 4H placement could have us retreat to “home” when the mission of the north node feels too heavy. We may get stuck at home. If the IC is in Sagittarius, there is no guarantee we’ll feel at home on the road. We may feel at home making a long trip, moving to a foreign country, studying or philosophizing until the end, or simply having intense debates with family members.

If Neptune affects Jupiter in our Sag on IC example, a sense of home may be elusive. If Neptune aspects the nodes, our sense of a fall back option may similarly be difficult to identify.

What challenges do you identify in your chart with your sense of home?

Life has always tried to make us be someone we’re not. From the moment we are born we live the expectations of our caregivers if they exercise enough leverage and control.

How have you gained a deeper sense of self, of really being Pisces, and did you go anywhere in particular to do that or did you notice it somewhere by “accident”?

Ive pushed it to the max this time around and im feeling whatevers been testing my endurance is almost completed.Finito.History.

I can also accept challenges to see how to resolve situations differently and learn what i havent before esp if its a repeated issue.Im a machine.Built to last

Ive been reading into this energy and honestly its been making me a more sharper and corrected person.Its true, having lashed out a few times thinking it will never be over but now its light at the end of the tunnel..

This goes for my other school of fish out there.

I cut down smoking and drinking for the last 3 months and thought i would never slow down anytime soon then the magic happened.All in this retrograde.

Just got a job after 3 months of waiting and really that was by chance.I was going in the same job i applied for 3 months ago just to get water to get hydrated when the manager saw me coincidentally and asked If i still wanted the job.I accepted it but on my terms of still wanting to leave the US and we agreed.

I did get into a small debt issue but nothing that soon cant be resolved.

I feel like sometimes you do have to trust the process and allow life to flow on its own timing.

Think of it like this..your in a long line waiting to get called on and your kind of in a rush at that moment..You either stay in that same line and wait your turn and learn patience or you leave and come back and have to start over again waiting.

The possibility with starting over again is by chance they could be closed that day or wait in an even longer line.Its also a chance that line could be short and your wait is less.Think about it.

Why step out of line when sometimes you could just learn to accept the process for what it is?

You picked that time to show up.You cant complain when its possibly people that feel the same way you do on that same day.

I mean look,the year started off great with me living overseas..then all of sudden once my phone got broke,it went down hill from then until now. 3 months per issue..good and bad.

So in retrospect, your just a small fish in a big pond..its others that come before you and after you.

Take it with a grain of salt..As long as you maintain balance and dont act or do anything out of character that could cost you your freedom or availability once the circle comes full scale,it will only make you more aware and focused.

No relationships,sex,drugs, no attachments,no kids,no distractions..

Liberating..so its up from here and yes.im open to making new (female)friends on this journey esp when i return back overseas soon.

Just one last thing..Always bring the sweets with you in life.Cheesecake,apple pie,double chocolate cake ice cream top with caramel and cinnamon crumbs..

What do you know about the reason why? Did the astrologer explain why your expectations don’t match the reading? Did they discuss a technical issue or their lack of expertise?

The answer may be simple or a little more complicated.

The simple reason, staying strictly within the technical realm, is one particular aspect: Saturn square the MC. If your chart has this, a human astrologer should at the very least point this out or at best decline to charge you the full fee. This aspect implies “trouble with experts.” The practical reality is that you may be able to pick up useful tidbits about your chart from various different sources but likely not get to know everything you need in one sitting.

What else could stand in your way of an insightful reading from a human?

Pluto on an angle - this intimidates many, professionals included

Neptune aspects - the astrologer can’t “see” you. They may ignore Neptune and thus fail to tell you why your life does not match with the rest of the chart

Interception - an intercepted planet and/or house acts differently. An intercepted planet is in “neutral” as it were. The astrologer may insist on a house system that does not allow interceptions or the astrologer may not know how to deal with it

Aspects with the nodes - nodal issues may be omitted altogether if the astrologer does not think them important or does not believe in the nodes. There are many possible interpretations. Some nodal effects cancel out everything good the planets offer, just like aspects from Neptune sometimes do.

Retrogradation - a very heavy topic of discussion and very polarizing. Many human astrologers and most AI based packages/apps ignore this. The effect can be life altering.

One of the mysteries of the chart can be our lunar node placement. If your experience is a bit like mine, an astrologer reading your chart may have overlooked them or downplayed the significance of aspects to the nodes.

If that is the case, it could be because Neptune plays such a big role for us Pisces. We tend to confuse others or intimidate them with our depth of understanding and feeling. But if Neptune as the co-ruler of our sign has its way with our chart and destiny, the confusion and mystery may go much deeper.

Neptune in any aspect to the nodes (30 to 180 degrees) can obscure reality. Sometimes temporarily and at random (30 and 150 degrees), sometimes permanently (0, 60, 90, 120 and 180 degrees). I know what some are saying, sextiles and trines are positive, but not for Neptune per se.

When it comes to the nodes, Neptune can obscure our path altogether or do a “now you see me, now you don’t” kind of dance. But what about other planets? What about orbs? Some astrologers consider a square, for example, to have an effect from one sign to another. That’s an orb of thirty whole degrees. Others stick to a conventional range of between two and ten degrees depending on what’s involved.

In a chart I read recently, the Sun squared the lunar nodes by eight degrees. This person had been told to ignore it, “too wide of an orb.” Yet their life experience reflected this square to a T (pun intended): “The Sun-North Node square makes you feel tense when facing growth and change. You are thoughtful and can be determined and willful. You are inhibited by circumstances beyond your control but this triggers your creativity.
