Worth a shot. Lmk what you got
A neolithic dolmen is a type of single-chamber megalithic tomb. lt usually features two or more upright giant stone slabs supporting a massive flat horizontal capstone.
It was another unique place to do a stealthcampfor me. It is in an area of Belgium where there are more dolmen and menhirs of about 5000 BC.
The dolmen I camped was the smaller and more difficult to reach. It was a special experience to be around that area after sunset to be honest.
But I kept respectful to the site, left no trace and I am glad my country has plenty of these unique spots
The sunset and sunrise was truly remarkable.
Civvies just don’t seem to get it
Got out every weekend. Section J PCT for 4th of July weekend to kick it off, 3 days 2 nights. Devil’s dome 1 night the next weekend. Wonderland trail 3 days 2 nights third weekend. Northern Loop last Sunday. The odds were good, the goods were odd. Highlights included seeing a porcupine, hiked across this state twice and a bunch of other trips and this was a first. Saw baby solitary sandpipers at mystic lake, baby ptarmigan at spray park. Hiked through sunset and into the night every day I was out, never saw anyone else actually hiking after 5pm on any trip except the Fremont lookout crowd which I managed to not intersect. Everyone in camp. Mountains and rivers without end.
Or can I even get it? Tired of this shirt being sold out, want a quarter zip and watch hole anyway.
I think Ballard should get a refund for the loss of the light rail. Can anyone help me understand how this could be done or why it may be impossible?
I did the wonderland loop in 3 days starting from longmire. Got to south Mowich river camp night 1, 30.5 miles 8,700’ vert recorded.
I took the spray park alternate day 2 and ended the day at sunrise camp 26.2 miles 10,055 vert.
I finished day 3 at longmire at 10:30pm, 36 miles and 7,800’ vert.
I was a little sleep deprived driving in which didn’t help. The elevation gain had me feeling beat, but it was beautiful out. Trail in good shape mostly, rough in a few spots.
I have a pic of this dude from when I was on the pct who decided to sit down in front of me while eating my breakfast looking at mt hood. Dude went on to tell me about his estranged children, getting back together with them, finding god, getting prepped for the Camino, planning maybe for the pct, all with me just saying uh-huh in response. I keep my background photos on rotate and it always cracks me the fuck up when he pops up.
Looking to hear from others who have done it in a day or recently. I did it last year starting around 2:30pm and back to the car by 8:30pm doing a leisurely backpacking trip and figure I could do it in a day. Trail conditions report a patch of snow on Jackita ridge but otherwise clear. Any other major challenges? Thinking counterclockwise. Lots of daylight the next few weeks, so seems doable.
There’s a lady who has started multiple small fires where I work. I had to stomp the fire out today and had 911 on the line while she was screaming about how she’s going to kill me. Police never arrived, never requested to see our clear as day footage of this individual. 3 small fires in 4 weeks. Considering the large fire in Ballard, it is really frustrating having to put up with this shit with SPD. Not really sure where else to complain.

Saw this guy camping on the green at deception lake 7/3, looking at me like he knows what he’s doing. Mf. This is the problem I have with making ul gear affordable.
Saw a comment on far out that the bridge is out. I’ll see soon enough. Anyone been through section J this year that can comment on whether microspikes are worth bringing at this point?
Old reference by now but damn it is too hot for pants and I am not switching out of the boots
I know that a hobbyists observation isn’t always accurate so I am wondering if any professionals know:
Is the shoreline at Rialto Beach receding? I went for the first time and it seems the area where trees can grow along the shoreline is withering away towards the hillside.
Is the jetty on the Quillayute river preventing sediment from replenishing the beach?
Got a compliment on my boots. Figured I’d better post.
