Hi! My mom is having a double mastectomy in 2 weeks. Myself and my dad will be her caregivers.. but I am wondering what would be considered helpful for her post op?

I’ve done some research, but please let me know if there’s anything i’m missing.

- shower seat
-detachable shower head
- recliner
- mastectomy pillow (the one that goes around your chest)
- seat belt cover
- wet wipes
- waterproof shower cape

other things:

-her fave snacks
- some books
- a new brumate tumbler - the smaller one so its not too heavy
- new pajama pants
- zip up night gown + shirts
- a bell (jokes in my family.. mostly so she can summon my dad 🤣🤣)
- new cozy blanket

I just want to make it the best possible experience for her despite the circumstances and have the house set up nicely for her to come back to.

context, i’m a 24 yr old engaged female, hoping to have 2 kids with my fiance in the next few years

we are very much drive til the wheels fall off kind of people.

rav 4 has better mpg but less room and it doesn’t have manual buttons… but has a built in dash cam…

highlander is a lot more expensive… More room, ceiling vents..

we live 20 miles away from the “city” so kind of rural, so gas / mpg is a big factor

i’m upgrading from a smaller car - chevy trailblazer due to major mechanical issues. and i’m not very comfortable driving large cars.

should we just invest in the highlander? i’m so stuck inbetween

I’ve looked into the SpeedQueen TC5/DC5 set. Consumer reports has mixed reviews.. putting LG higher on their list.

What brand are you all buying?

I don’t have a budget because washing clothes is very serious to me… my husband clothes get DIRTY!

Not sure if it would be worth it to just buy the speed queen washer and a cheap dryer? Send help!

ETA: we are on well water so amount of water doesn’t impact our decision
