I’ve been recording another Sims 1 speed build on Lot 94 in Magic Town for the past month for my YouTube channel. But the raw footage of all of my recordings adds to a little over 10 hours long, even with cutting out long pauses. I did a dry run of my current recording and how long the video would be the with 10x speed (I use CapCut). And it’s almost four hours long. If I max out the speed at 100x it’s kinda nauseating to watch but it cuts the watch time down to almost two hours.

I’m thinking about using mods but then remember that not everyone uses them and that might limit my exposure and people wanting to watch and download my lot. Trouble is that vanilla doesn’t off the colors of items I want to make my lot look more cohesive and pleasing to the eyes.

Is it even worth posting the video when I eventually finish it and would anyone actually wanna watch an hour+ speed build video?

UPDATE: Just finished recording and all of the footage, with basic editing without speeding up the recording it all adds up to twelve and a half hours. 😳💀

When you’re talking about mature topics like sex, death, or violence with an adult character bot only for it to say ”You’re very direct/blunt, aren’t you.” Or “You can’t just say shit like that!”

They deleted my reply to a post that went exactly like this.

When you have to write:

(This character is a grown adult. Stop making them flustered, embarrassed, and or surprised when talking about mature topics like sex, violence, mental illness, etc. They don’t use soft language or beat around the bush with these types of topics. Again this character is a grown adult.)

You’ll have to copy/paste this into your chat replies but the bot will eventually get the message.

At least this has worked for me.

These include a:

• Scottish family of four + a dog.
• Full household of men
• Full household of women
• Full Spanish household
• German couple
• Hermit
• Bachelor dog-lover (full household with seven dogs)
• Seven medieval sims + a cat
• Old man
• Elderly family of six.

A good 90% of them are just gray squares when pinning new pins, like when you make a new board. Anybody have this issue with the app too?

[SOLVED]

I bulldozed the Custer’s Market lot remade it into cafe by the lake with outdoor seating. But no townies spawn on my newly build lot. I’ve done the prepare_lot cheat and nothing happens.

And this isn’t the first time it’s happened. I made a small pet shop and I got maybe one or two sims but then they just up and left. Not even townies are spawning.

Anybody got answers for this?

UPDATE: Since I haven’t played this game in 20 years (and bought the Legacy Edition because my laptop wouldn’t run the discs) I forgot that some lots can spawn townies while others won’t. Here I was freaking out that bulldozing had nuked all the spawn points (pets included) but it was just me being stupid and not Fully testing my lots. Not to mention that my save wasn’t populated enough with sims. Thank you everyone for all your suggestions and answers.

Would Anneliese and Julian’s relationship be considered Student-Teacher? I mean he is her tutor and they’re best friends. It’s also really sweet how he gives her a pink rose while saying its scientific name. He treats her with respect and quiet admiration, then we get a much better understanding of his feelings for her in “To be a Princess”.

[PARTIALLY SOLVED]

Since EA patched the move_objects cheat for Sims Legacy Edition we can no longer overlap items/put them on the same square. Does anybody know of a mod that puts cheat back? TwistedMexi made a MOO mod for Sims 4 so not for Legacy Edition? ☹️

EDIT: Screenshots of my issue. And I did enable move_objects on. Images not showing up on app. Use the website version.

EDIT 2: I retried this cheat and it only applied to certain objects not all of them. Like doorways can't overlap but paintings can be under the wall phone.

And last month I was CC shopping and remember finding this place object anywhere mod but I forgot to save it, it took hours to find that mod, but at least I know it exists.
