Inaccurate trans type on BMWs

I've been on the hunt for a manual BMW on Copart and IAA. I've noticed that there are so many auto BMWs listed as manual when you can clearly see 2 pedals and an auto gear stick, but it mainly seems to only be on BMWs, not on other vehicles nearly as much.

Anyone know why?

How common is the display cable issue on the GA403?

Hey guys, I just got my G14 a month ago after upgrading from a GA401. I just found out about the display cable issue and I've seen someone on reddit say that there were 6 cases already of the cable giving out.

That really sucks, but the thing that really got me was a user who had their G14 start sparking. That is nearly enough for me to sell mine as I don't need yet another thing to stress about as my old G14 was already scaring me with some smaller things.

Is this something inevitable? Or just a bad batch? Because I bought mine pre-owned, I don't think I have a warranty on it. I really don't want to deal with selling another computer and buying another one as I love this one.

Air release like sound

2016 GL450 with no issues. Was standing around the car without the keys, car is locked, then I noticed that the car will do this sound almost every minute. I've never heard it do this.

I have noticed that it would make an almost computer or something related sound when walking near it but never this air sound. It doesn't seem to affect the car, just curious on the sound of anyone knows

Should I do it?

I have a 2016 e class with 154k miles and have been looking to replace in a few months. I'm mainly looking to buy off an auction (have personal experience so no need to warn me) and an absolute beauty just popped up.

US spec LCI 528i dark blue with 2 tone peanut butter interior with only 60k miles and a manual!

I used to have a E85 Z4 base auto which I remember being a blast to drive. I know my e class is basically a couch and is a bit boring to drive. But what's the driving experience on a car like this? I'm mainly looking for something engaging to drive and I feel this would be a good fit, but I just wanted some opinions first.

Something funner to drive

I have a 2016 MB E350 with 153k miles and it's served me well so far. I am getting a little scared of the mileage though so I plan to sell in a year or two.

Another thing is that it's a bit bland to drive, I want something more engaging to drive.

Here's what I'm thinking:

(I know some of these are smaller than my E)

2014+ BMW 335i M sport

2017+ Alfa Romeo Giulia Ti Sport

2020 Lexus IS 350 F Sport

I want a premium, RWD/AWD, 6 cylinder/turbo 4 and engaging car. Do y'all have any other ideas?

I see online that the Alfa drives the greatest but obviously the Lexus wins in reliability. I am 18 and drive 20ish minutes one way for work daily and know how to work on my own cars.
