Let me preface this by saying my son is eight so we're not talking Hollywood love or Productions or anything super advanced.
we're talking a video shot on an iPhone imported to a computer and then maybe in painting or something similar to get cool things to happen.
for example if I shoot a scene where he wants a stormtrooper to walk out of a room of the house how would I best accomplish that. I have comfy UI installed and am Vaguely Familiar with it but really have limited knowledge on what it can and cannot do. I've used image to video and I've used text to video before but ideally I would love to show comfy a still of my house for example and then have it add in the elements of the movie like the said Stormtroopers from before.
What would be the program that would best accomplish this locally I have a 5070 TI and I have 128 GB of ddr5 RAM. Again I want to reiterate this is not Hollywood level stuff but just messing around with my 8-year-old to come up with a home movie of his creation.
He's writing a script and so far the script is child falls asleep reading book about Star Wars and then in his mind he is still awake and Star Wars stuff starts happening all around them and as he walks through his house Star Wars stuff keeps coming out of the rooms and flying into the windows and people with lightsabers are fighting and then at the end he goes and lays down on the sofa and we realize he was asleep the whole time. Since I've used image to video before would that be the best case scenario maybe using Wan? Or is this best done within painting but the final output has to be a video so I don't know what local program can make that happen? Thank you in advance for all your assistance on this I'm sorry for any typos I type using voice prompts because of a disability so there may be some voice to text errors.
Tempted, but wanted to check on what others paid.
I wanted a rear wheel drive, but they are all gone, so dual only left.
This one is pilot package, lightning color, 21" wheels, and dual. 41500 out the door.
Seems like a decent deal, but not sure. I want the car but also recognize its just because its a beautiful car... not because of any other reason. Its just damn gorgeous.
If I could get a rear wheel, with pilot and plus and ventilated seats, for the similar price, I think I'd be happier.
So I guess my question to you owners is:
A) is the ventilated seats worth it? Will i miss them? Im in Florida for context.
B) is getting the dual worth it? Will there be any chance to gear a rear wheel drive instead or that ship has sailed?
I have kaleido paints and they just won't mix. They do have an agitator metal ball inside. I've been trying for about 20 minutes and it just wont reincorporate. These are new paints mind you and many of them are having this issue.
What do you guys use for stubborn non-mixing paints?
I started with a small grow tent but quickly realized that the other items that go along with the resin 3D printing also should be vented out of the space. And I couldn't fit wash and cure Stations and the space for things to dry inside the grow tent. I am not Handy by any means I'm a complete Klutz with a drill and a hammer but building out an enclosure was honestly the smartest thing. Now I have a ton of room for the printers and the resin washing areas as well as the drying area all with negative pressure evacuating the stuff out of the room. Only issue of course is when you open the doors to take out Parts but aside from that I never have any smells anymore.
I put together a small video to kind of explain it honestly the video doesn't have as many details as I would have liked because I did not record the build when I was making it and just had an afterthought that I might want to put up an explanation of what I made in case anyone else wants to do the same but it's essentially just plexiglass cut to the right size holes drilled in the plexiglass and then holes drilled in the metal railings of the enclosure.

Maybe it's useful to you maybe it's not but if anyone has any questions I'm happy to answer from my limited knowledge.
Ryujynx runs games in desktop mode, but not inside steam
I cant figure this out and its been a few days. Im losing faith here, lol.
This is on a PC with bazzite installed. EmuDeck installed.
If I go to desktop mode and run ryujinx, it works absolutely fine, games load and play, input is correct.
When I then load the games into steam using Steam R Manager, the games appear in steam, and when i check their path, it looks correct. When I click on them, it opens ryujinx, starts the loading process (running bar) then goes back to steam. Every game does this, but every game works fine in ryujinx itself.

It just... stopped. Thankfully its part of a redundancy so the data is all still available, but I just looked on pricing to replace it, its nearly $600 to buy a 16tb harddrive. So goodbye redundancy I guess?
It doesnt show up in windows. When I go to disk management it sees that it needs to be initialized. When I try and initialize it says "Drive is not ready". Havn't found a way out of the loop.
Tried a different PC, different USB port on same PC, reseated all cables, and restarted PC.
My datahoarding days are numbered I guess :(
Been wanting to knock out my backlog from the couch a bit, but im a noob to sffpc, is there a made parts list I could use?
I have 3 saturn 4 ultras 16ks printing without issue for about a year now. I see the reflex RS turbo is on sale and the people who own it seem to always say its the best printer they have ever used.
Knowing ill never use their resin at 19$/kg ... and instead will use sunlu ABS-like grey because I buy that at 7$/kg... is it still worth it?
What are the benefits over the saturn 4 ultra? If any? Is it really that much better at quality prints? Is blueprint really a set it and forget it magic software vs the lychee I use currently?
I want real world users opinions, because I dont necessarily trust the youtuber who got it for free and gets a commission.
Give the honest truth. Have you had any issues? Is the flat build plate a problem? Can you really put less supports than the competition using blueprint? Do the supports really peel off with minimal scarring?
If its as good as people say Im tempted to pick it up at the sale price... but not if its not significantly better in either output, support scarring, or maybe ease of use with blueprint studio.
Thank you for your time and feedback!
I've been thinking about the h2c for a while now but I already have a lot of issues with my AMS units having rules get pulled up when they are running low and no longer as heavy. I worry that the same issue will happen with the h2c so I was wondering if maybe he's not maker you won plus a bambu lab x2D is the right move at the same price. Does anyone who has an h2c have a reason why it is the better choice versus more printable area and more output? The only thing I can think of is seven colors versus four but the time it would take to print would be much much longer in a direct four to four comparison. Curious on your thoughts as users of the HTC possibly.
Hello!
I have a side room that was previously a "toddler toys" room, if you will. At this stage, he's grown out of a lot of the toys and we are going through and donating what he no longer plays with. In the process we thought it might be fun to throw a movie night on Saturdays with him and my wife.
The room has a window on the wall we need to use, so we'd need a screen as well. Picture size, probably about 80" to 100" to cover most of the viewing wall. I dont anticipate any gaming here, and no sound system will be used so if it comes with speakers great. Basically, trying to set up a fun thing that wont break the bank, but also isn't super permanent in case this fizzles out. Built in sound, no gaming needed probably, and the room can get as dark as needed thankfully...
with that input, what would you recommend as a starting point and screen to go with it? Also, are the screens wall mounted or on stands? Also, projector would go on a table in the middle of the room.
Oh also, how do you feed this thing? I wont have a PC in the room with it, does it have a way to connect a google chromecast maybe or similar? Or would I need to bring a laptop to connect with?
I asked CHATgpt, but I have no idea if it actually knows what it is talking about... lol. I just want a decent enough picture to enjoy a movie without entering the 1k territory.
His leader pulled my Arnim Zola, which proceeded to double the leader, which pulled my animal zola... which well, you get the idea. Poor guy, I laughed for a good minute though.
