Rate My No-CIBIL "3 Card Strategy (IDFC Hello + Kotak super.money + Kotak visa Debit card). Overkill or Good for for reward+cibil score builing? 🤔
slice card got rejected 2 times even with salary account😖
I have zero credit history🥲 and need to build a solid CIBIL score from scratch, fast. After analyzing my monthly expenses (attached in the image), I’ve mapped out a 3-way combination strategy to maximize rewards while keeping my utilization low.
Here is my monthly spend breakdown for context:
- Online (Amazon, Ajio, Flipkart): ₹8,000 - ₹12,000 (not every month but sale season mostly so for next 6 months atleast)
- Groceries (Blinkit, JioMart, Supermarkets): ₹3,600 - ₹4,000
- Fuel (Petrol): ₹2,500
- Utilities (Electricity, LPG, airtel Postpaid): ₹3,500
my Plan:
- IDFC FIRST Hello Cashback Card (Secured - ₹30k Split FD): Used exclusively for Online Shopping (3% to 5% cashback) and KSEB/Utilities (1% cashback). Planning to do a 20k + 20k split FD so I can unlock half the liquidity after a year if i get good cards aftere 6 months and might close this card after 1 year due to 1000rs annual fee)
- Kotak811 super.money RuPay Credit Card (Secured - ₹5k FD): Kept as my lifetime-free first (LTF) anchor card to establish credit history age. Used strictly for small UPI spends, just to create score.
- Kotak 811 Super Savings Account (free visa Debit Card): with this super 811 savings with ₹399 annual fee i will get the 5% cashback on Fuel and Offline Supermarket swipes. Moving ₹10k in and out monthly to satisfy the requirement.
❓ My Questions for the Experts:
- Will running two secured cards simultaneously build my CIBIL score faster than just sticking to one?
- which is better to build good score 10- 20% usage or below 30 % ??
- Am I missing any major loopholes or rewards exclusions with this specific setup?
