Just bought Jetstream DLC, how long was the campaign story? is the Jetstream gameplay good?

I always put two/four silica gel packets in each of my PS3 game cases if I got a new games or the old games, but I’m not sure if they’re actually doing anything. Is there a better way to protect disc games from rotting ? Do you guys use silica gel too, or is there a better method?
