[REQ] ($50) - (#Westfield, MA, USA), (8/23/2026), (Venmo, Paypal)

Hi there - this is my second time using this subreddit. I'm just asking for a loan of $50 in which I can repay a week from today (8/16/2026) - I'm currently unemployed but am on unemployment benefits and have been for about a month now, so I can't provide paystubs currently. I just need this $50 to gas up my car and get some groceries. Thank you

[REQ] ($80) - (#Westfield, MA, USA), (8/29/2026), (Venmo, Paypal)

Hi there - this is my second time using this subreddit. I'm in a tough spot right now, I don't have any paystubs to provide because I'm unemployed right now (I resume work in two weeks) - but I'm on unemployment and will get paid out for that some time next week. The main problem is that my SNAP benefits haven't been given to me for this month yet because they needed me to reprove I no longer work for my previous employer (it was a seasonal job that lasted until June). So I don't have any money for food right now besides the $6 remaining on my EBT card, and my car is sitting out on the street on empty :(

Would really appreciate a boost

Been using Varrock teleports like a MOFO!!!

I use them to get to the GE ALL the time. Bro sometimes I will even accidentally forget to right click it and press GE and I TP to the regular middle of town spot, and then Im so fcking lazy that I just use it again to go to the GE. Literally like 15 seconds to get there from the middle of town and I'm over here melting coins like I'm rich or something. IM NOT. My only form of income is BIRD NESTS. Im still a total noob too, I mean I got like 250 hours and total level 1100 or something like that but I cant afford this kind of lifestyle, I gotta stop looking at those "Pay-to-play" training wiki pages!! Putting me under! I looked in my bank earlier, only 357k left!! Damn!! I'm glad I waited to throw my 250 bird nests onto the market but shit!!

Is there a better way to be transporting myself? Help me get rid of these bad habits and grow up to be someone my mom would like

Going to an apprenticeship meeting tomorrow to get access to the application and find more info

I’m going in ready with questions and all of that but I don’t really know what else to expect. I really want this apprenticeship - I’m 28 and have spent my life up until this pointing working all kinds of jobs. Does anybody here have any tips for the pre application/apprenticeship stage?

"Documentary" I saw 10+ years about a Europe tour they did

It was on Vimeo but I can't find it anymore. They were doing a Europe tour and yeah it was just like a tour documentary. There was one part where they were backstage and John was restringing his guitar, Petey started talking about really bad stomach pain or something and John sounded a little fed up and said something like "Well we have two hours till we go on so you have that time to figure it out".... it was a pretty revealing documentary from what I remember. Anybody know what I'm talking about? I can't find it anywhere at all and it seems to have been lost which is a shame because it was a great little window into that era.

Looking for someone to play music with

I live in Westfield but have wheels so can travel

I usually play music with my brother but he lives far away now and I'm hurting to play with someone. I play guitar (can play in some keys on banjo but not proficient) and have been playing for a long time. I want to play with someone who has a repertoire of songs that they can reliably bust out, and also somebody who can accompany me.

Basically - I need someone who can play songs that I can accompany on, and someone who can accompany me while I play songs. Back and forth. Casual stuff that could perhaps turn more serious. We can see! I'm easy going - all I ask is that you know how to play in key. I don't care how long you've been playing if you can just do that.

I'm down to play pretty much anything but generally veer towards more traditional music (folk, blues, old time and country).... I also love Dylan and the Dead and all that shit.. either way I am open in taste and am just happy to play.

I'm a man and 28 years old. Please dont get in touch if you're under 18.

Did “Hammond Song” by The Roches inspire “Steve Albini’s Blues”?

The vibe and the opening line is sooo similar. Been so obsessed with these ladies lately

I’m going to be a total noob come September - any advice?

I’m going in as a total noob - what can I do to prepare?

I’m 28 and going back to school. I took an online coding course last year but it hasn’t stuck. I want to pursue this and learn how to code and program so I’m going to community college to pursue an associates in CS. Am I going to be fucked? Is everyone else going to know more than me? How can I help myself before I start? Should I start doing puzzles or something? I’m not very good at puzzles

Do I stand a chance in getting a degree in IT if I know nothing about coding or anything?

I feel like this might be a stupid question but I’m 28 and thinking about going back to school and I have this fear that anything I want to pursue I’m going to be at a severe disadvantage from everyone else. Has anyone here pursued a degree in IT from scratch without knowing anything before?

I live with a gay couple who happen to be good friends of mine - thoughts?

I (28m)as most here am try every day to walk closer and closer with God. I am not perfect and I’ve only come to Christ a little over a year ago. I’m new to all this.

I currently with a two friends who happen to be women in a homosexual relationship. They don’t know what I think about it although they do know that I love Christ. I am very close with both of them and have known them for a long long time.

I try to stay off the topic of politics and religion with them. One of them grew up going to Church, and it was a super super religious upbringing for her. I love these two people. But I wonder if it’s smart for me to live with them. I constantly have to bite my tongue to avoid conflict. They sometimes mock God and they mock people who love God and all of that. Not often but they have been known to do it.

I just wonder if I should stop living there. I enjoy living there because jm used to it and it’s better than living with random roommates. It’s affordable too.

Any thoughts? I love them very much and they love me very much, truly. But sometimes these differences make me think. Thanks

I'm a thief and I'm in a tough situation, should I spill the beans?

I'm a child caretaker for a child who is 10 years old. I've been their caretaker for two years. I have a great relationship with this child and with their family. I work directly for the family.

I have had addiction and impulse control issues my whole life. One thing that has happened a lot in my life is me stealing pills from peoples houses I'm in. I've done this since I was 16. I'm 29 now. Anyway, stole the child's ADHD meds awhile back by taking the contents of the capsules out and putting the capsule back together. All of it. Over the course of some months.

Whenever I've stolen drugs off people like this it's like something possesses me. It's disturbing and I hate that I've done it. They're meds the kid doesnt take either so these two perscription pill bottles sitting in the cabinet with empty capsules has been eyeing me almost every day for over a year now. I am very a drug addict and still have drugs problems. I'm actually going to rehab later this month once my job contract is over.

They've offered me a contract for next year too. I feel so guilty. I found one of the capsules on the counter when I got there and it was open and on the table... so at least on their parents knows that at least one of those capsules were empty. I dont know if they know that all of its gone. I would still be feeling this guilt if they never found out.

MY QUESTION:

I want to tell them what I did. Am I a fool? I just want to tell them what I did and give them the opportunity to recind their offer to me for next year. I'm wrecked with guilt and anxiety and I just need to get it off my chest. I cant even describe the awful feeling I get when I think about what I did to them

What are your favorite hymnals which show up a lot in bluegrass repetoires?

Off the top of my head my favorites are Talk About Suffering and Am I Born To Die? - the Doc Watson Family version of that song with the violin is heavy duty

Which US states are most old timey?

I basically just want to know what US states have the most old time jam groups per capita.

Additional question - which state in New England do you think has the most old time jams?

Thank you very much people, it’s a pleasure to know how many are out there who still appreciate these things. Take care
