Finally went to the motherland

Being Japanese American (4th generation) this was honestly such a special experience for me. My great grandparents came from the Hiroshima area in the early 1900’s. My grandparents faced racism and had many family members interned in the camps during ww2, and my grandfather fought on the US side in the 442nd infantry. They didn’t teach their kids Japanese in an attempt to assimilate. I grew up with alot of the culture (food, temple, etc) but never really had a huge grasp on it. I finally got to visit Japan with my wife and two daughters and have been back for a couple days. Honestly fell in love and miss it already. I encourage any Asian Americans who havent, to visit the place of their ancestors. It was amazing.

Bag work

Used to train and spar off and on for yrs but now I’m slow, out of shape, and have the beginnings of a dad bod. Sparred for the first time in like 12 yrs the other day and did decent on the inside, got some good shots in, but definitely got my head cracked a few times. Struggling with stamina after the birth of my daughter last yr, but slowly getting back to it. Definitely developed some bad habits though from inactivity. I know the garage is a complete mess by the way 😅

14 months in

Gotta say, its been a journey. From the all nighters and sleeping an average of 3 hrs a day at the start, to now traveling and starting to enjoy the world with my lil one…its been hard…but also the most amazing thing Ive ever experienced and I wouldn’t change any of it.

Orbs? Or just reflection?

Im not an expert on any of this, including reflections or what can happen in photos that is explainable so please dont be too hard on me. Im talking about the green orb like things in both of these photos taken months apart about a thousand miles away from each other. I had never seen these in any other photo ive ever taken. The first one, flash was not used at all, the second one has flash being used.

Am I thumbing the ball?

And if so, what are some tricks or ways to stop doing it? Also? What are some other things I need to work on, and what are some good things I have going (if any)?

If I can do this, anyone can

1st picture is my current gpa and credits. Just finished my first 2 semesters of college. Second two pictures are from high school (most of it was spent ditching and goofing off). If I can do this, anyone can. Just takes dedication
