Printed some biomimetic light switch covers (LSO Series)

Just finished printing the first batch of my new LSO (LightSwitchOne) light switch covers. All single-gang, no supports, standard toggle fit.

Textures so far:

  • Leaf
  • Root / Vine
  • Stone
  • Redwood (wood grain)

Printed in plain white PLA for now — planning to experiment with painting and different filaments next. They feel surprisingly nice on the wall.

What do you think? Any favorites or suggestions for future designs?

Files available on Printables, you can find the link in the comment section below.

S33D HALO Series — 5 Free Organic Fidget Spinners (No Supports)

Hey everyone,

I’ve been working on a series of fidget spinners inspired by natural geometries. The goal was to create satisfying, well-balanced spinners that print cleanly with zero supports.

Introducing the HALO Collection:

  • Clean one-piece prints
  • Beautiful on the desk or in the hand

Each model explores a different expression of balance and flow — from dual-lobe to triangular to more complex forms.

Free Links (Printables):
HALO 01 → HALO 05
(Full collection page coming soon)

The next four designs (HALO 06–09) are available in a paid bundle on Gumroad for those who want the complete set.

Would love your feedback — especially on print quality, spin times, and any remix ideas. These are part of a larger S33D project focused on biomimicry and regenerative design (print → use → recycle → repeat).

Print one and let me know how it spins!

LiftRest — Cable Organizer | Snap-In Cables | No Supports | Compatible with OrbitTag

Built this to secure cables that never stay where you put them.

No zip ties. No clips. No adhesive. Just a designed fit that holds.

LiftRest is part of the LIFT ecosystem — it sits alongside LiftStand and LiftWatch and connects into the same system. Every cable has a place. Nothing moves.

Printed on Bambu P1S in white PLA. No supports. Print-in-place snap fit.

Files are free on Printables — link in comments.

Printed a wind chime that glows at night — lithophane hummingbird lantern, everything 3D printed

I’ve been working on a new collection called LUMEN — objects that use light as a design material. This is the LumenBell, the first piece.

The cylinder is a lithophane that reveals a hummingbird in flight. The pendants carry nature scenes. Every component is 3D printed — hooks, clapper, all of it. No string, no hardware.

It comes in two versions — a classic wind chime with a printed bell, and a lantern version that accepts a standard E26 bulb so it glows like this after dark.

Free on Printables. Also entering it in the wind chime contest if anyone wants to show some support.

Printed on the P1S with Bambu white PLA. No supports on the main body, designed for easy printability.

The stand holds the MagSafe puck via a snap fit, and the cable routes through the base so nothing hangs loose on your desk. Took a few iterations to get the snap tight enough to feel solid but easy enough to assemble without tools.

Part of a larger modular Apple desk system im working on.

I'm a mechanical engineer, formerly Apple, Tesla, and Volkswagen. A few days ago I shared LiftStand here and the response was incredible, thank you for all the wonderful comments.

This is LiftWatch, the second piece from LIFT, a modular Apple charging ecosystem I'm building. Designed to sit on your desk or nightstand and actually look like it belongs there.

Watch charger seats flush. Cable routes clean. No supports required. Every dimension is intentional.

Free on Printables. LiftMount and LiftRest coming soon.

I'm a mechanical engineer, formerly Apple, Tesla, and Volkswagen. I've been designing under the name S33D Studio for a few months. I truly hope this does not break rule 6, I'd like to share a print that I've been using for weeks and is something I find very useful.

LiftStand is the first piece from LIFT — a modular Apple charging ecosystem I'm building. MagSafe puck seats flush. Cable routes clean. Prints face-down with zero supports. Every dimension is intentional.

Free on Printables. More from the LIFT family coming soon. Honest feedback welcome.
