Hero 5 vs 6 vs 7 for Texas heat — no hypersmooth needed, just want it to not shut off
Looking at picking up a used Hero5, 6, or 7 Black off Facebook Marketplace for some outdoor recording here in Texas. Don't care about HyperSmooth or fancy stabilization, just want something that'll keep recording in our summer heat without shutting down every 15 min.
For reference, my current setup is a Hero9 where I pull the battery and run it on external power to help with heat — works okay but curious if 5/6/7 would handle it even better stock.
Which of the three handles heat best in your experience? And what's the max SD card size each one actually supports? Trying to figure out what to look for before I buy.
Thanks in advance.
