My dad says I behave like Truely (I never saw the show)

I do plan on watching it, especially when my dad has seen it and says I exhibit the same mannerisms as one of the kids, Truely. Sorry if this isn't allowed, I'll delete it if not, but as someone who plans to see the show but hasn't seen it yet, what is Truely's personality seeming to be like so I can see what he means by it.

Which character would I be?

From DRA and SDRA2.

I kind of don't have a distinct identity and tend to be pretty open-minded with my personality depending on who I hang out with. Online and with close people, I tend to be pretty cheerful and energetic, but I do get tired easily and zone out a lot and I also have a short attention span. I do consider myself pretty social a lot of the time, but I also still have social anxiety so I tend to be a pretty awkward and quiet person. I'm smart on some things, but I'm also very forgetful and I'm not very athletic, especially with my asthma. I prefer creative/artistic stuff rather than athletic stuff, but I do admire athletic girlies...

In rural areas, is English spoken?

A lot of people recommend that you should visit rural areas of a country if you really wanna pick up their native language since that's the best way to guarantee there won't be a bunch of English/English speakers as there are in cities. But for Europeans, especially those with a high English speaking population (the Netherlands, the Nordics, etc.), will they just speak to you in English like they do in the cities? Will you be able to better use and understand their native language?

I dunno why I'm asking on here specifically, but does anyone else have family that works you to exhaustion?

I don't wanna keep spamming the advice sub. I'm a 16 year old girl, though, and I'm also neurodivergent and asthmatic, so I tend to get exhausted pretty easily. Aside from my family sometimes saying bad stuff about how lazy I am and how dumb I am basically for not being able to retain spoken information or even words (I am a strong visual learner who needs visuals to retain information, which is why I can remember games/visual novels and movies but not so much about books.)

Anyway, my family keeps making me run around and do stuff all at once, like take out the trash, then without stopping, pick up all the dead sticks outside for hours, then shower, then exercise, then do laundry, then do this, do that.

I am extremely physically and mentally exhausted but they just think I'm being weak and/or lazy. I feel stressed a bit, and felt on the verge of passing out even.

A lista continua.

Which character (either game) would match these I’ve known from school?

Thankfully we don’t talk anymore.

Girl 1:

- very popular

- excluded me and blocked me for being different

- she and her friend group all started to hate me because I’m autistic

- “All the boys are into me OMG!!! That one guy looked at me, I think he wants to date me!!!”

- straight, told everyone she was bi but made it up, HATES being called straight/hetero

- very ableist but supports gay rights and acts progressive to the point of being performative

- friends with all the boys and the seniors who buy her stuff

(i thankfully only went to middle school with her, not high school, same with my ex)

Ex-GF:

- laughs when I’m upset

- can’t take anything seriously

- super smart at everything

- doesn’t talk to you unless she thinks you deserve to be around her

- denies I’m aroace

- kinda says transphobic things but also claims to be a very progressive humanitarian

- begged me to stay and got mad when I tried to break up so I blocked her

So I know for the future, was I in a toxic relationship?

I feel like this would be a "duh" for others, but for me it's hard to tell. No, I don't mean "was she the devil incarnate?", I just want to know if I was it was healthy or unhealthy to think back on it and see what I want in platonic relationships (since more is kind of a no for me, especially when I figured out I'm aromantic).

So, my ex "Liv" would laugh when I was upset. If I say something sarcastically like "I have homework to do, yippee." or "My family's yelling at me again, whoop-dee-doo!", she'll completely ignore what I said and just laugh or be like "OMG You said yippee that's so quirky and random LOL"

I know she's 15, so we do count as children, but my friend did tell me her behavior was like that of a child. They also called it negligent because I felt like I could vent to my friends but not her because she would laugh all the time. If I was lucky, there were times she'd just say "That sucks I'm sorry" but usually would laugh.

Furthermore, she kind of tried to tell me what I/others felt, saying stuff like my trans friend (FtM) was still a girl and didn't look like a guy and laughed, and that I wasn't actually aromantic (or on that spectrum) when I found out, I was "too young" to know (I'm a year older than her and she also says she's aromantic...)

She was very hesitant when I would inform her on things, insisting that maybe I felt or was something different when I told her I wasn't.

She wouldn't even wanna show affection to me, but first she told me that was because she was nervous, and then told me because she's aromantic. She also thinks I'm not asexual and would say "Have you considered you're just demisexual?" or "Maybe you're just scared?"

Like, there were good times where we'd hang out and go to her slumber parties and she would genuinely talk to me and show affection sometimes, but it kept going back to the laughing and "neglectful" (as my friends say) behavior. Also, a BIG thing is that she would get super mad when I wanted to break up or convince me to stay, so I did have to block her. My friend also said, though, that a loving partner who was mature would want what was best for me and would be okay with breaking up and staying friends rather than getting angry at the person and blaming them for "messing it up".

I'm (16F) pretty sick and my family's yelling at me for it, what should I do?

I feel like this is such a petty thing, but I'm frustrated. I (16F) have a bad cough, a bad cold. I'm losing my voice. At times, I can barely speak. I'm constantly blowing my nose. My throat kinda hurts. I feel like a zombie. Even worse, I had a stomachache and woke up at like 1 am so I'm tired.

Then, my grandpa who I live with started screaming at me for being sick, saying it was my fault essentially. He also said he doesn't care how sick I am, I still have to go to school. This turned into a rant on how I forget to do everything because in reality, I have memory issues and I can't retain information, but he doesn't get that and INSISTS I'm deliberately trying to defy his authority or something, and he acts all smug about it, saying "Ohh, you never forget to talk to your friends ohhh you don't have memory issues you're faking it to disobey me".

I don't know what to do anymore. And when I actually stay home for being sick, I get punished for it and can't even watch TV or do ANYTHING.

“You’ll meet a nice man someday” Why am I expected to??

I dunno. I’m 16, neurodivergent. My whole life, I’ve kinda gotten shit for not being able to distinguish romantic from platonic feelings, not feeling them in standard ways, constantly wanting to “date” everyone because I’d get attached, and not being able to have committed love for someone when it’s not platonic.

I broke up with my partner who kept saying I wasn’t really aromantic. My family expects me one day to have romantic feelings for men and be straight despite me finding women more appealing. When I said I don’t really feel love the typical way, they expect that I will one day and it’ll be to some perfect conservative guy.

Conservative men are the opposite of my type anyway. Usually homophobic, prejudiced men? Yuck!
