During my master’s at Stanford, I met some people who lived off campus in a bunch of co-op houses all owned by a guy named Rob.

I’m moving soon to the east coast for a job and am finding lots of 6-room houses and was curious if any of those people I randomly met (mostly at parties lol) have a google doc manual or google sheets examples of how they managed things like:
- house expenses
- cooking schedules
- cleaning schedules
- bonding activities/camping trips

or anything like that. I remember the people I met talking at length about how organized it all had to be. Granted, I think more like 8-12 people lived in those houses but I was very impressed with the organization haha.

So I just got a job (yay!) but it means 1) I’m spending money like I have it already and 2) I’m moving so I’m thinking of seeing people in the area before I leave.

I feel like my mania (or depression? or mixed state?) coincides with wanting to text ANYONE I’ve ever had a semblance of a fight with and wanting forgiveness. But why? I have friends. I have a life. I don’t need that many friends. And yet I want to somehow clear the air so I don’t have ANY haters in the world.

Can anyone relate?

I actually am a YouTube watcher 😅 but I find it hard to believe they didn’t get ANY money from the ads. Is it a middle finger to CBS? Or Paramount+? Is their inability to monetize it a secondary reason for the show being cancelled? (With the primary reason being Trump) I’m not sure what to take from this message lol.

Hi, everyone! I love a good stationery fest and I'm moving to Rhode Island this summer for a job at Brown. It's a 3 hour Amtrak ride from Providence to NYC but I'm still not sure with my boss if I could have a short day on Friday to take the train up for the 3pm admission on Friday 7/31. (The Saturday tickets are not being sold.)

I haven't been officially officially hired yet (been offered the job by my boss, but it's still going through HR) so I'm hesitant to ask if she'd be okay with me working on the train ride there (as most of my job is remote anyway, with a few meetings in the office).

My question to you all is: Do you think I can WAIT to buy these tickets? They're only $15, but they're non-refundable and non-transferable. I'm also trying not to be impulsive!

I'm going to the International Society for Bipolar Disorders conference in September in Vancouver and they recently released the program of the speakers (or this expandable website version). There's so many interesting talks that I need to decide which one I'm going to go to (for networking, for interesting topics). I then decided to treat this program as somewhat of a syllabus and have decided to read the articles many of the talks are based on.

All of the talks are about Bipolar, but some are about BD x Reproductive hormones, BD x Metabolism, BD x Psychedelics, and so on. I'd love to start a little reading group and maybe meet some colleagues along the way! Let me know if you'd be interested or if you're going to the conference!

April 20: Got email from Hobonichi Techo team that I won the drawing to receive the “Hobonichi Enjoy-This-Too Set 2026.” (No information on what is in the set) I reply immediately with my shipping information.

April 29: I email them and ask what the set includes. This is because I want to get an Avec but if they send a planner in the set, I wouldn't need to buy another. No reply.

May 5: FedEx calls me and tells me that because there's green tea in the package (oh?), there's certain forms Hobonichi has to fill out so it can make its way through customs or something. They need this info before May 11 or the package will be returned to sender. (Nooooooo)

Today: Emailing the same email they reached out to me on and messaging them on Instagram to try to get their attention D;

I did get an update through FedEx what's in the package though. The list says:

Based on the prices, the paper book is definitely not a techo, which is fine. But Hobonichi hasn't spoken to me since they notified me I won on April 20 and the timeline is so short for them to reply. D; I really hope they reply and I don't have to do this back and forth with FedEx or maybe even pay more for FedEx to hold it in the country (which I did once a few years ago when I had a whole run-around trying to get a package from Japan delivered to my house).

Making this post because I know a few other people also won the drawing and hopefully this post can be where we all talk about it lol.

I just got a new job that will start in June/July and I COULD buy the jan and july set but I don’t really need the Jan xD

Just got offered a research job here and wanted to explore my options for housing. Ideally, I’d rent a room in an apartment or house with female or co-ed peers who are working professionals or grad students. The contract is 2 years, with an option to extend for a 3rd. I’m a 28F myself coming from California.

Budget: ~$1500 for rent, ~$500 for utilities but I’m pretty flexible. I’d be bringing my car too as some of my friends who went to Brown for UG said it’s quite needed to get around. Would prefer a parking spot.

I’ll likely move in June, fly from CA to RI, and just ship my car, packing relatively light and just buying furniture and housewares secondhand.

Open to any advice! Please be kind, I’m completely new to living on the East Coast as my life, UG, and master’s have all been in California x). I have however visited my friends in NY many times (~15°F) and have camping gear so although that’s nothing like LIVING in proper winter, hopefully I can adapt haha. (Though I’m sure many will try to send warnings about the weather lol.)

I still really love my spreads but sometimes I go see TV shows that haven’t aired (NDA) or work with sensitive populations (privacy policy) and it’s just too much effort to censor all of them/I’m terrified I’ll miss something and get in trouble.

So shout out to people who have gorgeous spreads that we never get to see. I hope all the people in your life go, “Omg your journal is a work of art, I could never do that” to which you go, “You absolutely could! Make it your own!”

I hope we all spark joy and contentment in ourselves making our own little art in our journal layouts ♡
