Can you book a Lyft from Toledo to DEARBORN? DTW

Hey guys. I'd really appreciate your help with this one. I have an exam scheduled next month at Uni of Toledo and wanted to travel from DTW (Wayne to be specific) to Toledo and back to DTW (I work and live close to DTW). I was wondering if booking a Lyft from Toledo is as feasible as it is from here? I'd be free by 4 pm and would really love to head back home ASAP but I'd be scared if I could not get a Lyft ride since I don't have an alternate option since I know no one here who can drive me back.

Thanks in advance.

Gents of this city, How do you all prevent the hair loss from hard water here in Dearborn?

I'm here for last one month and the hair loss has been VERY aggressive. It feels like I'll go back home bald when I return.

PLEASE tell me a way to prevent this much hair loss, if you've got anything.

Thank you.

All this time I thought this was Charleston, WV sub smh

Mods please remove this if this post breaks any of y'all rules.

I am gonna be visiting Charleston WV for a few weeks in August and so naturally I started visiting this sub. I'm not from the USA and did not know for 2 whole weeks that there is another (and BIGGER) Charleston in SC smh

I even asked one of y'all for chess clubs and was so excited to play some chess on weekends. Now I'm just sad and feeling dumb lol.

Anyways, rant/post over. Please tell me there is a Charleston WV sub.

Also to be fair, for a foreigner, nowhere does this sub mention in its title or bio that it's the SC one.

Are razor blades allowed in check in luggage to USA travel? Or should I just buy the new blades directly in USA?

First time International traveller to the USA for work. I'd really appreciate it if you could guide me regarding the razor in the luggage thing. Have heard a lot of mixed things from people.

TIA.

Travelling for business related work to our of country. Wanted to pack iron, preferably small and budget friendly. Is this a good choice?

Also if you have any recommendations, please throw em.

PS; I'll be staying at places where ironing is not available and I'm on a tight budget.

Where can I try and get clip on sunglasses in Ahmedabad, preferably Nikol/Vastral?

I have specs and I was so far using cheap sunglasses over my specs but I noticed that wearing two glasses was damaging the glass. I have heard that clip ons are a good alternative.

Does anyone know if they're available in Ahmedabad, preferably Nikol/Vastral side?

Need help regarding flights with check in luggage: Detroit to Charleston

Hello All.

I am visiting the USA in August for my work related stuff and would need to travel from Detroit to Charleston. I was planning to travel with a 7 kg bag with me and two 23 kg bags (my international flight is allowing this and since I'm gonna be staying for 3 months, I will probably need to pack a lot).

However, while searching for flights within the USA, I'm finding it difficult to find flights that allow check in luggage, especially the DTW to Yeager airport one.

Would really appreciate your help and any suggestions really on this.

This is my first time travelling outside my country so I'm a bit unfamiliar with this stuff, so please excuse me if this comes out as a bit naive 😅.

EDIT: I meant Charleston, WV and not SC one . Sorry for the confusion.

Flying a long distance flight (International) in few days for the first time after becoming a doctor and am nervous for any on air emergencies. I would love to hear your stories (and tips if you have any)

I was working as a medical officer for the past year and it's been a while since I did any procedural work (last was in internship). I'm confident in my diagnosis and mgt skills but am really nervous about the procedures since I've not started the residency yet (will give NEET again this year).

While I know air emergencies are rare, I feel like I should be prepared since I have a continuous 16 hr flight. I also understand that waiting for someone else more qualified to take over is the best step. However, I just want your suggestions for tackling such situations in case there is no one else and if you had any experiences with on air emergencies, I'd love to hear those.

Cheers.

I can't believe I won this game

Just wanted to share because I was getting outplayed, but I was lucky that my pieces were controlling so many critical squares. My opponent had to trade their queen for my rook to not get mated, but even afterwards, their king and knight could not help themselves untangle from the pin.

3 mile commute to work while in Dearborn for 2 months- What are my options?

Hello, Detroit. I would really appreciate your help regarding my commute plans from AirBNB while I’m in the town.

I’m gonna be working for 2 month starting from June, in Dearborn in one of the health centres. The best Airbnb I could find was 3 miles away in the Dearborn heights suburbs. This is my first time ever in US, let alone in Detroit and frankly I’m not sure if walking is a fair way to commute or not. Google shows it’s an hour long walk. My work time is 7 to 6 so although I can make it! I’m not sure if I can do it daily.

I would really like your suggestions on:

Is walking easier through suburbs?

Is summer heat too hot to handle? (Well tbh! It’s 46 C where I am right now so not sure if it will be haha)

Is biking an option? If so! How can I rent one?

And a very silly question! How do y’all cross big roads on foot or bike? 😭On street view! I couldn’t find a zebra crossing near my workplace.

Thanks in advance.

Is Medical Rentals Listing reliable in Dearborn for Heart and Vascular Institute?

I am going to be rotating at HVI, Dearborn and would love to know if the medical rental service that they have given in the mail is legitimate. I mailed them regarding some questions on late check ins but I'm not getting any answers.
