They’re all very small still, hoping to end up with a pair. Unbelievably beautiful! My first time owning cichlids. They are the only thing in the tank aside from a juve snowball pleco. Not sure on tank mates. My favorite fish are cories so I was thinking maybe 6-8 of some type. I’m so excited!
I’ve wanted an L201 for YEARS. I’ve only ever had bristlenoses. Still way too small to sex, and I will probably never see this fish again. Nonetheless, very exciting!!

I’ve had the canister filter for my 75 running off my established 40 breeder since July 9th to get it seeded. A lot of the plants I ordered are starting to come in now. My question is that has it been enough time to get the filter seeded? Last time I did this I ran the filter for about a month and it was good to go. Am I able to fill the tank and get everything planted? I was going to throw a couple of snails in the tank to use for ammonia to feed the bacteria. If not, I have an empty established 20 long I’m just going to throw the plants into until the filters ready. Not putting fish in the 75 any time soon. Thanks for your help! Pic for attention
Hello! I have been keeping fish for about 10 years, but I have yet to own any cichlids. I have a 75 gallon that I’m in the process of building. (Attached photo) It will be moderately-heavily planted. I was planning on getting a few different juvenile angels, to eventually end up with just a pair of them in my tank, with either Congo tetras or potentially bosemanis. My partner is very into dwarf plecos and would like for me to get one for the 75. I was considering a snowball or a clown, but I am worried about compatibility issues. Does anyone keep any dwarf plecos with their angels?
Just picked up this Benjamin Le dining table and I’m head over heels for it. I need to find a rug that compliments it but doesn’t take away from the space. Any help is appreciated! I’ve added a photo of my living room for style reference.
Putting together this 75 (Last photo) and not sure what substrate I’d like to use. Attached are some of my current tanks with different substrates. I like the contrast of the white sand but like the overall vibe of the darker sand and gravel more . I’m not super crazy about gravel anymore but it does look nice in more natural scapes. I’m definitely going for a more jungle theme in the 75. Open to suggestions or alternatives! (Still putting the 75 hardscape together so go easy on me 🥲)
It’s holding water fine (for now), but I planned to reseal it as the build date is ‘03. Is it still worth using? Possible to just keep the water line below the chip? It was free so don’t really care if I have to scrap it. Thank you
Unfortunately I only had 3 minutes in that spot lol
I play on switch with 3 other people, and I recently unlocked stir fry. We cannot make it past like the 5th or 6th day!!!! We play a lot too so there’s a good amount of experience. Any tips for at least getting through the first week?
