Coleman 4 person skydome vs Ozark Trail 4 person instant cabin tent

My brother and SIL have the Ozark Trail 4 person instant cabin tent and I really liked how roomy it felt on the inside.

Unfortunately it’s sold out everywhere near me, and the closest I could get was the Coleman 4 person sky dome. It has the exact dimensions, and is 2 inches taller at the centre.

Will I still get the same roomy feel even though it’s a dome tent? Does it have any other pros? Debating on returning it before my camping trip this weekend

Is the Torrental 3L Patagonia worth the money?

I live in Newfoundland, Canada where we get quite a bit of rain. I work a low paying job, so $225 CAD is a lot of money for me but I still want to invest in a proper jacket.

Is this worth the money or am I better off going for a more affordable jacket like Columbia?

Losing weight after recovering from ED

I need to lose weight (I’m 156cm and 80kg), and I know the only way to lose weight is a calorie deficit.

TW
I don’t know what to do. I used to have a severe restrict and binge cycle. I’d go days obsessing with what I was eating and the calories I was consuming, resulting in me eating very little and then eventually I’d binge.

I’m finally in a good spot of eating what I want without overthinking. I eat balanced meals everyday, and occasionally get “cheat meals” without feeling guilty.

I’m so scared to go back to thinking about the calories I’m consuming. Mainly because I love how free I feel around food— not because I’m scared of going back to my old ways.

Anyone have any advice?

Avalon mall McDonald’s exit

Does anyone else feel like you’re letting Jesus take the wheel when exiting from Avalon (edit. Onto Kenmount rd) by the McDonald’s? That huge McDonalds sign completely blocks the view of oncoming cars! By the time I can see I feel like I’m halfway in the road

Day trip

Thinking of doing a day trip out of town. Is there a good place with a picnic table that I can take my camping stove/burner and make lunch?

Preferably within couple hours from town.

Parking in permit areas

I live downtown closer to businesses. A portion of my street is for permit only and the other portion is free/public parking. The public portion is always full, and then people start parking in the permit area to go downtown. Especially on days like this I struggle to park within a 5 minute walk of my house because people going out to eat or shopping are constantly taking up the spaces for permit only.

Is there any way to get the city to enforce the permits? I never see anyone giving out tickets for cars without a permit.

I know it’s a part of downtown living, but it’s frustrating when I pay for a permit and rarely get to park remotely close to my house.
