One of the many cellar spiders that live in my house was making very strange movements in this upside down position - looked like it was handling a very small piece of food'woth all its legs (no food present) Does anyone know if this is good or bad news? I thought it maybe shedding as I've found old skins in this exact shape. Thank you for any help (Apologies for poor photo I only have a cheap phone) .
Really enjoyed the recent posts about hummingbird moths and the plants they like. Another rare sight for me is the Bee fly. I've only ever seen two my whole life and I'm in my 50s. Does anyone know what kind of plants and environment might attract them? Thanks!

Holy cow it's a hell of a ride!! It's about limerence, obsession and consent. The first part of the movie was particularly uncomfortable viewing as I saw myself in the male lead and how crazy limerence is. No spoilers here but it goes sideways very quickly and is fairly brutal at times. It is a horror, after all! Anyone else seen it?

What city centre pubs would you recommend for a more alt. vibe and what pubs for a party atmosphere (but not radgie)?
I heard Mayfair from Newcastle have opened up in Durham - is that right? I assume the Angel is still going or else it must be the end times!

So today I'm strolling around town in the warm sunshine, killing time as I have a music event to go to later. An attractive woman is walking towards me and we make eye contact *twice* then, the third time, she gives me a really warm smile and I completely panicked and looked at the floor. FML!

I was just wondering, which pubs would you say play the most 80s and 90s music on a Saturday night? We fancy a bit of a dance after a day in the sun.
The only ones we can think of are popworld, which has too many kids in and Sgt Peppers which is a bit out the way. Ta.
It was so good I'm thinking this might be a good opportunity to check out. Go out on a high, as it were. I'm not going to but the temptation is real. Anyone relate?
Appreciation post for Scott McCord - imo the best actor in the show. His portrayal of Victor - a man with deep childhood trauma and emotional arrest - never feels patronising, forced or clichéd.
It's bloody May not January. Pissing down outside and it was 9 degrees in my house this morning. My daughter is in that London and it's over 20 degrees. Sort it out eh?
I noticed there was a Whitby Goth Weekend last weekend and there's another one this weekend. What's all that about? I don't remember it lasting a week so I'm assuming these are seperate events. It would be hard to do both as Whitby is hard to get to.
