4Runner help

I came across a 2015 4Runner sr5 premium from a dealership near me, it’s priced fairly well but the issue is it has 230,000km on it. I know these things will run for a long time if treated well, it has tracked maintenance from 2015-2023. I asked the dealership why there was a gap and they said it’s likely they either did their own maintenance or started going to shops that didn’t show up on the vehicles car fax. I asked them for all of the work that they’ve done on it since they received it and they sent it all over which included quite a bit (rear shocks replaced, mount balance and road force, all 4 wheel alignments, fluid top ups, 130 point inspection, clean t case sweat) wondering if this would be something to consider or if it’s too risky with it being high mileage.

Hoping to gain some insight from some people who might be more familiar with 4Runners and their reliability/lifespan. Thanks

Buying a used 4Runner

A local dealership has a 2015 sr premium 4Runner for $24,000 Canadian. Thing is it has 230,000km in it, while I know Toyotas are known for their reliability and running for a long time. What are some concerns I should look at or take into consideration? Or would it just be best to leave it alone?

I’m new to Toyotas so I’d love to hear from someone more experienced. Thanks.

Purchased a vehicle and found out there’s a lien against it after a year

I purchased a 2017 Hyundai Elantra around a year ago, the car was fine and I paid cash for it at the time (10,900$) and now I’ve been looking to trade it in and find something else. I reached out to a dealership and they looked up the vin only to find there’s a lien on the vehicle in what I’m guessing is the previous owners name which wasn’t disclosed in the bill of sale or anything when I bought it in the first place. I’ve reached out to the company that I bought the vehicle from and they don’t seem to take my claim very seriously as it was a smaller dealership.

Not sure what to do here but from what I do know is it’s illegal for them to have sold me the vehicle. Any advice? I don’t know what to do

Jeep gladiator 2022 sport + tow package

I made a post here a week or so ago in regards to Tacomas vs gladiators and the responses I got were very helpful so thank you guys for that.

A dealership here has a 2022 sport with max tow package on for $38,189 CAD with only 38,000km on it, it seems to be a really good deal for a low km vehicle and I’m thinking it’s been on the lot for awhile so they’re looking to get rid of it and with trade in value for my current vehicle I would be able to get a good monthly payment on it. Wondering if it would be a good option as a daily here in the city, good for long highway trips out to the mountains, snow driving etc. I don’t know much about these vehicles but I have been trying to do my research on them and wanted to see what you guys thought of it.

Thanks again

Adobe illustrator crashing

Anyone else having an issue with Adobe illustrator where it won’t stop crashing?

I run it on an m4 Mac Pro which has plenty of power to run it and for some reason it won’t stop crashing every 5 minutes when I attempt to drag on a file or remove the background of something. Curious if it’s just an unstable software or if there’s something I’m missing here

Newbie Tacoma question

I’m looking to upgrade to a Tacoma but unsure of which year / model to go for, I’m mostly looking for something to be able to haul things around the city comfortably, regularly be able to drive out to the mountains, haul my bikes in the back and be able to camp out of while still being my daily driver around the city here. I live in Canada so it gets to -40 and the snow gets very deep so I’d need something that could handle that kinda thing.

I’ve heard that 2018-2020 is kinda the sweet spot and I should be looking for something in that year range. Curious what you guys have and what you would suggest for me, thanks in advance!

Tacoma vs Colorado

Contemplating between a Colorado and Tacoma and wondering if anyone here has driven a Tacoma and later or switched to a Colorado and why?

Would love to hear on reliability, parts availability, all that kind of stuff. I’m looking for a reliable truck to be able to drive to the mountains and back (7-8 hours away) and be able to haul bikes and camping gear and still be able to handle some rough terrain if need be. Ideally I’d be looking at a zr2 if I was to get a Colorado. Thanks, hope this is okay to ask in here

Id likely be looking to get a 2018 trd sport and a 2018 Chevy Colorado zr2

Looking for some courses or software recommendations for what it is that I’ll be doing, currently using Adobe illustrator and curious if that’s what everyone else on here would use for that kind of stuff. Thanks

Jeep gladiator vs Tacoma

I know I’m comparing apples to oranges here but I’m looking at getting a truck and it’s either going to be a Tacoma or a jeep gladiator and was hoping to get some people input on pros and cons between them, repair costs, reliability, etc.

Mostly just looking to be able to commute to the mountains which is about 7-8 hours away, throw my bikes and camping gear in the back, handle off road terrain without having to worry about not making it back. I’ve heard some mixed reviews on jeep gladiator’s reliability so hoping to gain some insight from people who daily them and are more used to them

External monitors

I recently picked up an anamorphic lens and to no surprise the video is squished on my internal camera monitor so I’m looking to get an external monitor with anamorphic desqueeze without spending an arm and leg.

I’ve seen some recommendations for a feelworld p6xl and wanted to know if anyone had any suggestions for budget friendly external monitors. Thanks!
