R100 Full spectrum with IRChrome filter from Kolari Vision
I have a 4x5 but I was at an estate sale and got the complete unit for $200 - now to get some film and make some larger format contact prints!
Its a Century wood frame camera, with a Turner Reich F7 12" Lens (triple FL but my rails dont extend far enough to use the other 2 FL. )
Is there an option for making positives without a film based negative? its been a decade or two since I worked with LF, and even back then it was only 4x5. hah
Id really love to be able show my son how this all works and how we did it back in the day..
logged in and noticed theres a few things in the AFA, but the Recommended and Additional Items, is 'showing 1 of 1' - anyone else?
Im getting around 120 but Im not a professional and I dont know if im counting right. 120 would put it as a sprouting around 1906.
and why is the last like 20 years or so, much brighter in color?
I love that you can screen share your Mac even while doing a MacOS update, incredible
Got my R100 with RF10-18 and been playing with it as my new IR cameras (full spectrum) but I noticed a lot of smear in the corners. Saw that the profile was on so I turned it off and whoa. thats a LOT of vignette / correction in the corners. I get this is a small lens, and inexpensive, but I wanted to see if y'all think this is about correct, or if my eBay lens might be worse than normal.
one 'normal' IR photo to show IRL and one shooting up at my white ceiling to really understand the problem.
This IS 10mm, at longer FL it disappears.
this was with a filter, which was part of what I was testing, but the profile eliminates these corners perfectly (in terms of distortion to remove them and cover it vignette correction but it does make the corners look very soft due to that correction) so I think this is just how the RF10-18 is but I didn't see much discussion on this as it seems pretty poor showing for an RF lens in RAW.
noticed in an update note that the CameraRaw tool now goes down to 1500K for white balance. This allowed me to balance some of the Eos M dual spectrum shots I get for a more neutral grey value, while holding the blues in the sky. I can also get some interesting yellows, oranges, or magentas by adjusting the calibration tool like I used to
born about 4 weeks ago, the first one took flight tonight
First heavy rain this spring and yet again(3rd time since I’ve owned it) the sunroof is leaking again.
Opened it up, in the rain with a towel over it, and air compressor’ed the drain hole. Hopefully fixed again.
I just washed it a week ago and specifically tried to clean the drain port. Guess it didn’t work. Such a design flaw. Should have made it 3mm wider.
