My situation - what would you do?

Okay! So I'm just about wrapped up with my divorce. I'm paying out my ex. This has, obviously, changed my course to retirement in some ways but opened it up in others.

The numbers:

Cost of living:

$4800 (low) - $5500 (high) - $5200 expected for comfort

Salary:

Public teacher, ca - $86000 per year, maxing out 457(b) (23500 per year)

Rents:

$1800 ADU

$1500 JADU (soon to be operational)

Pension:

If I work 5 more years and accrue 10 years of teaching, wait to withdraw retirement until 60 I would have roughly $1500 a month in pension.

If 10 more years I would be at $2300, etc.

Portfolio:

$185k in index funds, growing roughly 12% per year.

Inheritance:

Likely to receive at least $500k-$1m within 20 years, potentially more due inheriting property - may be adding to rental income, but I digress.

Goal:

I enjoy teaching, but would like to only teach a 60% salary (3 classes vs 5 classes) which would be a $51k salary.

I am in CA, so if I retire I would likely use covered CA health insurance.

Wanting to transplant this ponytail palm

Trying to figure out the best way to manage moving this.

I'm thinking hiring a bobcat to load it into a flatbed, driving to location, and doing the same process to unload. Any other better ideas?

I'm assuming this probably weighs 2,000 lbs

ScreenLogicnLow rpm not engaging

I'm trying to trouble shoot an issue that recently developed. I used to have 2 poop cleaning modes, a high rpm and low rpm. They were on scheduled and after a few hours of high rpm in the morning, the low rpm mode would run the rest of the day

Then something happened.

I'm not sure how but my schedules and rpms were wiped out. So I tried to configure them but I have made some sort of mistake, as the pool won't recognize/override the low rpm mode.

So, now my pool starts out high rpm for 3 hours, then should schedule low rpm until 9 pm. However, despite being on "pool low", "pool high" will also be on and it gives priority to that higher rpm.

Any clue on what I should address?

Looking for a workout partner

Mid 30s, male.

Looking for a work out partner that is down to lift/exercise a few times a week.

I work out at eos and while I'm not an expert lifter, I am an advanced lifter. I don't push it too hard or take it super seriously, but I like to get a good lift in, hike, run, etc.

My fitness levels to get an idea are somewhere around:

Bench: work with 225 lbs.

Machines for legs

Pull ups sets of 12.

Running: Pace 5 miles around 7:30.

Shoot me a message if interested!

Massive changes to the downtown, Northside, university corridor

I haven't heard any buzz about these developments, so I'd like to share what I stumbled across.

Riverside Alive - massive commercial space, nightlife , hotels and expansion of convention center. This would be a massive addition and expansion to downtown.

https://riversiderecord.org/riverside-alive-project-clears-another-hurdle-as-council-certifies-environmental-impact-report/

Riverside adventure center - a huge outdoor water sports park, hiking trails, shopping corridor (including a grocery store), hotels and housing in Northside. Theoretically this would connect Northside and downtown as a strong entertainment hub. There are plans to connect pedestrian access to downtown.

https://riversideca.gov/northsideplan/neighborhood/ASR-project.html

New Neighborhood Library - a digital and tech library planned to open in Eastside

UCR innovation and business center - green energy jobs, training, and research that wins to draw in and keep qualified professionals.

This is a strong change from constant warehouse pimping and should positively impact riverside.

Thoughts?
