I’m currently on the journey of being financially responsible and educating myself with this stuff.

I have been working as a casual since I was 16. I am currently studying full time so still working as a casual however, I do have two jobs and averaging at 28-30hrs a week.

Last year, I moved my super to HostPlus into a High Growth Account and that’s basically all I’ve done. I only did it because a friend of mine has advised me to do so and till now, I don’t understand the purpose (I have an idea but not a consolidating one).

What other things should I do? I hear people salary sacrifice, how do I do that? Do I tell my employer? How much should I contribute to my super if my weekly salary differs every week, is there a certain percentage?

i am looking at getting nails done for the first time time ever. i have researched and looked for nail places and found a well-reviewed home-based nail artist.

i’m not getting any extensions, just builder gel (BIAB) and a simple design (attached below). the nail artist quoted me $70 which seems like it’s on the cheaper on of things (correct me if i am wrong).

i have only applied regular nail polish on my nails and they tend to peel off after 2 days. i’m on my self enhancement era and nails are on my list but i’m just unsure if i should go ahead with it when i’ve been fine living my whole life without it.

Got in the waiting room 30 minutes before the sale starts and was at 155k when I got in. It’s now almost 1:50pm and I’m at 145k in queue🥲

I’m looking at getting a haircut where the purple line is. This basically just cuts off any breakage and dead ends.

Do you guys think I can potentially go for a layered haircut with my hair type?

Also it’s my first time ever going to the hair dressers. Do I wash and completely dry my hair (like the picture) before going to the appoint?

I (21F) have never trimmed, cut, or coloured my hair. Basically, I have virgin hair and never really cared about it. I have been seeing the Curly Hair Method for a few years now but the amount of information and products out there is very overwhelming.

For context, I grew up in a culture that looks down in curly hair as it looks “messy” and “unattractive”. Combine that with religion that doesn’t let you cut your hair.

I have moved past that now and I’m ready to have it atleast trimmed and have a better understanding of my hair type.

I have a few questions in regards to products, hair maintenance etc.

1. What would you consider my hair type? I tried the hair porosity test and some strands are low, some strands are high.

2. How do I know which products are MOST likely to be good for my hair? I know that I should try some products out but they aren’t cheap and I don’t want to waste product if they end up not working. Preferably, products that are on Australian market shelves.

3. What is the recommended hair washing routine? I am Asian and have heard that we need to wash our hair frequently. I find this true just because my scalp gets oily the next day. Is that a sign that I’m washing too often and stripping my hair or is that just genetics?
