Spoke with an anti-AI person yesterday who swore AI can’t be art at all. Their argument boiled down to AI leeching off human artists’ work, lacking independent creativity, and permanently missing the human consciousness required for original creation.

I brought up multiple times this was just their personal take, but they refused to budge and called it hard factual truth. It came off super obvious they had no real rebuttal left and just defaulted to that cop-out to end the debate. It’s such a lazy way to shut down any nuanced conversation.

Just yesterday I posted something that had absolutely zero AI involved, completely unrelated artwork, just asking people casual questions about my piece. Out of nowhere I got 4-5 messages all hitting me with “AI slop,” “ew,” “pick up a pencil,” and other identical anti-AI talking points. I even received actual death threats over it. Can I PLEASE just have a day of peace without constantly getting reminded of anti ais?

I genuinely have zero clue what my teachers were planning assigning this, feels like a kindergarten craft assignment lmao. I haven’t even touched any part of the project yet and I’m already completely stuck designing a custom kingdom flag. Does anyone have simple, easy flag ideas?? Thanks.

Staying neutral here, the whole AI war stuff just feels stupid at this point.

Neither side really listens to the other. Both have legit reasons to feel how they do, both have parts they’re wrong about too. People just dig in on their own views, yell past each other, and nothing ever gets resolved. It’s just going to keep looping forever, isn’t it? Arguing back and forth only wastes time and gets nowhere.

Instead of hating on AI, we should actually learn to work alongside it.

AI isn’t going anywhere. Ten years from now, it’ll only get more powerful and take over tons of existing jobs. Complaining and resenting it won’t reverse that reality at all.

Rather than waste energy fighting against AI, we should figure out how to partner with it. Use it as a tool to boost our skills and earn more.
