Looking for non-invasive puddle/welcome lights for car doors

Hi everyone,
I’m looking for some ideas/recommendations for installing **non-invasive puddle/welcome lights on the doors of my Tata Curvv EV**.
I have two main purposes:
**Practical:** Illuminate the ground/step area when someone opens the door, especially at night.
**Aesthetic:** Add a subtle premium/OEM-style welcome-light effect.
I’ve looked at Amazon and other options, but most of what I’m finding are **Tata/car logo projectors or random patterns**, which I’m not interested in.
Ideally, I’m looking for something like:
Plain **white/warm-white light**
Downward-facing illumination
No logos or projections
Preferably **wireless / magnetic / battery-powered**
No drilling or cutting into the door
Ideally no tapping into the car’s electrical wiring
Should be reasonably weather-resistant
Has anyone installed something like this on a Curvv EV (or another Tata car)?
I’d particularly appreciate recommendations for **specific products available in India**, photos of your installation, or ideas for an OEM-looking solution.

Thanks!

Car inverter usage in EV

Has anyone used a power inverter with an EV?
I am considering getting a 12V inverter to power small AC devices (laptop charger, small appliances, etc.). Since the inverter draws power from the car’s 12V battery, I am wondering how it works in an EV.

  1. Does the EV keep the 12V battery topped up from the high-voltage traction battery while the car is ON?
  2. Is it safe to use a 100–300W inverter without worrying about draining the 12V battery?
  3. Are there any recommended limits or precautions for inverter usage on the EV?

Would appreciate insights from anyone who have tried this or knows how it manages the 12V system in EVs.

Reliable third-party PDI service for a new EV in Hyderabad?

I am looking for a reliable third-party Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) service in Hyderabad for a new EV that I'm about to take delivery of.

I've looked into a few options such as Cars24 PDI, The PDI Company, Car Vaidya, and a few others, but the reviews seem to be quite mixed. Some people had excellent experiences, while others weren't happy with the quality of the inspection.

Has anyone here recently used a PDI service in Hyderabad for a new EV? If so:

  • Which company did you use?
  • Would you recommend them?
  • Did they perform a thorough inspection (paint, panel gaps, underbody, battery/OBD diagnostics, charging system, etc.)?
  • Approximately how much did they charge?

I would really appreciate recommendations based on first-hand experience, especially for EV deliveries.

Thanks in advance!

Why so much difference?

ON and MB almost same but why Tata 1MG so costly and Nakpro so cheap? All seem same quantity.

Curvv EV Empowered X 55 vs Sierra EV Adventure 63: Worth spending ₹2 lakh extra?

I am planning to buy an EV through my company's lease program and will likely keep it for around 3 years. I am also a new driver and this could be my first car. My priorities are:

  • Good real-world range
  • Feature-loaded
  • Reasonable price

Most of my driving will be solo, with occasional passengers. I am currently deciding between:

Tata Curvv EV Empowered X 55

  • ADAS Level 2
  • Ventilated seats
  • Basic + other premium features like ADAS, ventilated seats
  • Around ₹2 lakh cheaper

Tata Sierra EV Adventure 63

  • Similar battery/range
  • Spacious and appealing overall package
  • Missing ADAS and ventilated seats
  • Costs about ₹2 lakh more (including essential accessories)

The more I check and evaluate, the more I get confused. For a 3-year ownership period, is the Curvv's extra equipment worth paying ₹2 lakh more, or is the Sierra Adventure 63 the better value?

Planning to Buy the Tata Curvv EV X Series – Need First-Hand Owner Feedback

Has anyone here recently purchased or booked the new Tata Curvv EV (X series)? I’m planning to buy one and would love to hear some honest, first-hand reviews. How has your experience been so far in terms of driving, comfort, range, features, service, or any issues you’ve faced? Any feedback or advice would be greatly appreciated before I make the decision.

Honda Elevate ZX CVT Quote Review – ₹1L+ Discount, Worth It?

https://preview.redd.it/pek6oejfrrbh1.png?width=943&format=png&auto=webp&s=945df7ff59f9805ec5512129b295ac2d8c0625cc

Looking for some opinions on a Honda Elevate purchase offer I received on company lease.

Variant: ZX CVT (Base color- Lunar Silver or anything except Black)

State/RTO: Telangana

Here's what the dealer is offering:

  • Total Honda discounts: ₹1 lakh+
  • 4K dashcam included
  • Choice of Black or Ivory interior
  • No Alpha grille (cost 16K additionally it seems)
  • Basic kit excluded (dealer quoted ₹11,599 if needed)
  • Insurance not included since it will be covered through my car lease program

With all of this, my effective on-road price is around ₹18.59 lakh for the ZX CVT.

I'm trying to evaluate whether this is a good deal. At the same time, I'm wondering if the VX CVT might actually be the better value. From what I can tell, the main differences are:

  • ADAS (Honda Sensing)
  • Some cosmetic/aesthetic upgrades
  • A few additional convenience features

For owners or anyone who cross-shopped these variants:

  • Does ₹18.59 lakh for the ZX CVT sound like a good deal?
  • Is the ZX worth the premium over the VX, or is the VX the sweet spot?
  • Would you negotiate further, or is this close to the best discount currently available?

Any recent buying experiences or pricing would be really helpful. Thanks!

Confused: Hyryder vs Nexon vs Elevate? Need advice!

Hi all, I'm buying a new car and stuck between three options. Each has pros and deal-breaking cons.

What I've checked:
Toyota Hyryder (Strong Hybrid): Great mileage and engine, but lackluster interiors, poor 360 cam, and recent bad service reviews.
Tata Nexon: Loaded with features and safe, but I'm concerned about long-term engine reliability for long highway drives.
Honda Elevate: Well-priced, but missing basic features (even on top-end) and has known NVH issues.

My strict requirements:
360-degree camera (absolute must-have)
Reliable engine for long rides
Good safety
Hassle-free after-sales service
Fuel: Petrol or Hybrid preferred (open to Diesel)

Do you use any tool for consolidated technical analysis, or do you prefer reading charts directly?

I am not an expert on markets and finance. Based on some knowledge and I understand that we usually check RSI, MACD, Bollinger Bands, ADX, and a couple of volume indicators before deciding on anything. The problem is it takes me 15-20 minutes per stock — and if I'm scanning my watchlist of 10-15 stocks, half my morning is gone.

I've built something for free and AI based as a side project that pulls all indicators in one view and scores them — basically a quick "health check" for a stock. Not a signal service or tips, just a faster way to see what the technicals are collectively saying. Screenshot below. If moderator allows, only then I will post a link.

I'd love feedback from experienced traders on whether the scoring logic and indicator weighting actually make sense in practice. Can't share links here (understandably), but happy to DM details to anyone curious or point to where I can post it for a proper review.

My main question — do you find value in a consolidated indicator view, or do you prefer reading the chart yourself because that's where your edge comes from?

Curious how others approach their daily screening process.
