Went to fire up the egg tonight and I noticed a bunch of cracks on the interior fire bowl. I think it’s safe to say I have gotten my moneys worth. I bought it lightly used in 2005 for $120. Other than age and use, what causes this?

UHV is ultra high vacuum and this system will be pumped down to 1×10−9 torr. Part of a system for coating silicon wafers. This was a damaged component that I had to repair and was definitely one of the more nerve racking welds I have done. Does anyone else here do UHV work?
