I just cleared this rough path to a little river on the edge of my land. Looking for cheap ideas.

The river is very clean and is all sandy. I want to clean it up as a spot to hang out and for my daughter to wade in it (supervised of course)

Just seeking inspiration I guess. I don't want to spend a ton of money on it but anything to make it more comfortable would be nice.

Was thinking of adding some gravel to make a more permanent path, not sure if solar lights would get enough sun to be worth it. The riverbank is a bit muddy so maybe I should add some sand?

What do you guys think?

Should I be worried about these dark red areas?

It's bottom blade roast.

The pics make it look black but it's dark red. Smells perfectly fine.

Sudden issue with my 65" TCL, remotes don't work on it

Hey folks. I have an older tcl maybe 8 years old.

The remote suddenly stopped working. I also have a Roku ultra connected to the tv and the remote for that also suddenly stopped being able to control the tv itself.

The IR remote that came with the tv, I've tried various methods of power cycling the TV and removing batteries, still doesn't work.

The Bluetooth remote with the Roku ultra, I've tried re-pairing it to control the tv but it keeps failing for an unknown reason.

For now I can control the tv with my phone but.

Any ideas? Is there another method of power cycling the TV that might work?

Buyer of my home in Quebec claiming hidden defect with the well

Follow up to this post: https://www.reddit.com/r/legaladvicecanada/s/NoAzXQVqk7

TLDR: they claimed a hidden defect, I was cooperating, they went ahead and made a repair and disposed of the old equipment without allowing me to have it inspected myself. I am POSITIVE we had no issues prior to the sale.

I told them to go ahead and have the well inspected at their cost and we will then go over the inspection results and determine responsibility if there are issues found.

Instead, they went ahead and replaced the pressure tank which they said failed. They had a plumber come by who told them the rubber membrane in the tank was ruptured. I already know they had been using the hose to fill the pool and repeatedly running the well dry which would cause this sort of failure in the pressure tank which I know was already approaching end of life but was still functional 100%. They then sent me a bill for it.

I emailed them back saying that I will not be paying anything or responding to any further emails since they have unilaterally modified the system and estroyed any evidence there may have been regarding this supposed "hidden defect".

To be clear, we had no issues with the system other then 2 occurences where I accidentally ran the well dry 2 years prior to the sale. Both times it filled back up and worked flawlessly afterwards.

They are now saying I lied on my seller's declaration and that they will now be getting the well inspected and will take me to court for everything.

I'm positive there was no issue when we sold and even if there was, they have now destroyed any evidence and deprived me of my right to have the system inspected by my own plumber.

Am I right? Or am I fucked? I have no intention of responding to them and I'm pretty certain they're just trying to intimidate me but I guess I'm looking for reassurance or to be told if I'm completely wrong in my understanding of Quebec civil code related to hidden defects.

Omg it's my turn dad's, wife and daughter are visiting the in-laws this weekend. How should I spend it?

Gonna crank it obviously.

Mussels for dinner since wife hates seafood.

Cigar and a nice wine.

Gonna game until I can't game anymore.

Am I missing anything?

I'm calling for Staois' head (metaphorically speaking) if we lose Giroux. This team needs him now more than ever.

PAY THE MAN!! It really doesn't matter how much he wants. Don't bring us back to the Melnyk era by being a cheap bastard.

If I was any happier I would Tkachuk him out the damn door myself!

Seriously though, overrated player who clearly didn't want to be here and I never felt he deserved the C in the first place. We will be better off if we can use these picks wisely.

I can't say whether that means drafting intelligently or trading the pics for an established player or a combination of both but I'm not sad.

I'm thinking either G or Chabot for the C. Give Timmy "Stud"zle the A.

Is this typical of the dealt dcs356? Worth returning or not a problem?

It seems like it was assembled wrong or there was a defect? Am I over reacting? It's like the seam between the 2 yellow halves is a bit off all the way around the tool.

Edit: apparently it could be a fake? That being said, I bought it at home depot. And it hadn't hit the shelf yet. They had to go up the big wheelie ladder to the overhead storage to get it after I asked for help finding it.

In any case, I'll be returning it tomorrow. Thanks everybody!

Sold a house, new owner is claiming a hidden defect in the well

New owner contacted me through the realtor a couple of weeks ago saying they ran out of water.

I lived there for 4 years and the only time this has happened is when we used too much water. Once when I accidentally left a hose running and again when we had a toilet running but we were out of town. Both times, I cleaned out the sediment filter and gave the well a few hours to fill back up and we were good to go.

I wrote a short paragraph describing these steps to help the new owner out and had my realtor relay the information.

Fast forward 2 weeks and I get a letter via registered mail from them demanding I pay 1500$ to have the well inspected because I knew there was an issue with it and deliberately withheld this information and that it's a hidden defect and that if I don't pay them they will take me to court.

They swear up and down that they are running out of water with "normal use" which is very vague. In any case as a family of 3 with 2 dogs we never had any issues with normal use.

I asked them specifically if they were filling the pool or the hot tub from the well and they denied it in writing twice.

Now, my old neighbor sent me some pictures today which clearly show a garden hose in the pool.

These people are clearly lying to me but I don't know the best way to move forward with this.

My current thought process is to keep these pics up my sleeve for now and that I will tell them to get the inspection done on their dime with a company we both agree on. If an issue is revealed and that I am legally responsible for it I will then reimburse them for said inspection and we will discuss repair costs.

That being said, now that I have pictures proving that they are full of shit and just trying to extort me, I'm tempted to tell them to go pound sand.

Thoughts?

Edit: the well is 110 feet deep, and had 283 gals per hour of flow when it was drilled in 2005. They have confirmed that they do have water now, which tells me that the equipment is working normally otherwise they would have nothing.
