Is GTA combat easier on keyboard?

Whenever I used to play GTA I always just stayed in director mode because I found combat really really difficult on my controller (I played it on PS4 many years ago).

Since then I’ve played RDR2 about 5 times through and I’ve become very good at weapon combat. This made me wonder, are the combat mechanics in GTA at all similar to Red Read when on keyboard? I’d like to play GTA in story mode and, given that I have gotten used to RDR2 combat, will I struggle?

The nickname ‘mama(s)’.

That’s it. Just the nickname. Especially when used on someone who is not a mother.

Dairy cows died

I bought some adult dairy cows about 3 days ago, and within those 3 days all of them have died. There were about 15.

I’d like to make it known that I already have a thriving colony of babies. The temps and parameters are all fine. Substrate is fine, food, and shelter are fine. Could this have been a supplier-side issue? According to the shop I got them from, they do tend to arrive with pretty dry substrate. The shop always sprays them as soon as they get them, but we don’t know how long they’re in transit for with no water.

Messy bun

10 years of searching and I’m still yet to find a messy bun technique that works on my hair. I’ve found so many that are easy enough to do, but all the people who do them have thick hair, and their bun always seems to stay in place with no parts sticking out or wobbling. Whenever I try these techniques the bun just falls apart, even if I have done it just as the video shows. For reference I have very thin hair that is very uncooperative.

Please please please someone link a technique that is completely secure, requires no extra items (just a hair tie and maybe Bobby pins), and actually works for hair that isn’t luscious and thick.

Tailgaters.

I need advice on something I’m concerned might happen during my test.

The other day, I was driving in my test area, and I was being tailgated by someone. I was coming up to a green traffic light. I wasn’t sure how long it had been green as I had turned onto the road not long before it. Anyway, as I approach the traffic light I am going maybe 15mph, slow enough to stop safely and legally - if the guy wasn’t behind me. The traffic light goes amber, and this guy is hot on my tail. Rather than potentially risking breaking the law, I stopped but I was half way into a cycle box. I was unable to brake any harder because the guy behind me would have crashed into the back of me, so I had to brake a little softer. I know that probably would’ve gotten me a fail for being in the box, however I’m curious as to what I should REALLY do if that happens.

Sorry if you infer something different from this, I really am struggling to know how to word exactly what happened but I hope you can get the gist of it 😅

Do driving examiners give some leeway if they can see that you’re being tailgated and couldn’t safely stop without being rammed into, so you have to go through a yellow light that’s been yellow for maybe half a second? I’m very anxious about this, as London has a lot of tailgaters.

Morph?

I’m getting this boy tomorrow, so unfortunately this is the best picture I have of him. Is he a normal or conda?

How can I adjust to 12 hour day + night shifts?

I’m starting an aircraft engineering apprenticeship in September. From February onwards, I’ll be working a 4-on, 4-off shift pattern with 12-hour day and night shifts.

I’ve never worked shifts this long before, so I’m expecting the adjustment to be quite difficult, especially with disrupted sleep and fatigue. I know that when I’m very tired I can become quieter or more irritable than usual, and I really don’t want that to affect the people around me.
I’m looking for practical advice from anyone who has worked long shifts or nights. The last thing I want to do is snap at someone because my exhaustion has taken a hold of my sanity.

What strategies helped you regulate your emotions and stay patient when you were exhausted? Did anything help you leave work stress at work or avoid snapping when you got home?

I’m not looking for reassurance that it’s okay to take stress out on other people—I know it’s my responsibility to manage it. I’m just hoping to learn some techniques from people who’ve been through a similar adjustment.

Fishing event.

During this most recent fishing event, every time I’d go to catch fish I would catch at most 2 or 3/7 of them. I was doing it every 2 hours, but I literally managed to unlock only 3 of the kiwi dragons purely because these fish just would not let me catch them. I’ve just given up with the last day of this because I know for a fact I’m not going to get any further or even manage to get another dragon. Anyone else experienced this?

Adult brother thinks farting is absolutely hilarious.

My brother is going on 23, and he thinks that farting really loudly and obnoxiously is the funniest thing in the entire world.

He will look directly at me and my parents and smirk as he rips a giant fart. He’ll literally lift his leg sometimes when we are standing right next to him/behind and just let it go and smirk like he is a comedian. He’ll do it during dinner when we’re all trying to enjoy our food; quite frankly it’s incredibly off-putting. What’s worse is that it will absolutely reek, practically clearing out a room in seconds.

My parents have argued with him many times over the years about this. We all agree that it is wholly disrespectful to us considering it is a shared space, and it is just completely childish. I’ve told him that I think it’s immature, and he says ‘it’s natural. Everyone farts.’ It’s gotten to the point where when he enters a room I will often vacate it because I know exactly what’s coming. How do we make it clear to him that he needs to stop this?

What could go in these?

I’ve got an 18 x 18 x 18”, and a 12 x 12 x 18” terrarium.

I’m debating what I can put in them. I’d like something that doesn’t require excessive misting as I will be away from home for 5 months starting in September. I can get my parents to feed during that time, but it’s a bit much to expect them to be misting several times a day.

I dont want any invertebrates as I already have many different types. Any ideas?
