Maps of The Great Crag?

Working on a Droaam part of my campaign, and I’ve been searching for literally any city map of the Great Crag, but haven’t found any? Do people just not use it?

Merrix vs Iron man character?

So one of my players is playing a half elf version of Tony stark/ Bruce Wayne (armorer artificer) and he made his story about how at the beginning of his story his family and business was a weapons manufacturer under House Cannith, but when his parents, the father a Cannith born man, and his mother an elven woman, died from a mysterious accident right before the last war ended, he transitioned from weapons into more peaceful implements. However, he wants his story to have House Cannith try to Reclaim the players company for some reason. My question is what reason would merrix have to try to do this? I’ve been looking through all my books but merrix doesn’t have a lot of stuff about him.

Edit: rn all I have is that he’s angry that an elf is in the family, and is trying to cut out inferiority from Cannith

Need help with a new Element

I am making an adventure for my Armorer artificer (half elf version of Batman/tony stark) to obtain a new element I’m calling Bytessence, a element created when you mix Byshek metal and Quintessence using Nuclear Fusion. This is all in Eberron, but I need ideas for what Bytessence would do.

How to make a new Element?

So one of my westmarch players is basically playing a half elf version of Tony stark/batman (armorer artificer) and they need to find a way to create a new Element (like gold or lead or something) to get a new feat and magic items, any ideas to give him hints? He’s pretty good at coming up with things, but a new element is a bit of a challenge

The Winter Soldier as an enemy?

One of my players is doing an Ironman story and wants the winter soldier to be a part of it, but I can’t find a homebrew statblock for him, can someone help me figure out what to put in? Don’t really have to fantasize it, it’s Eberron so guns are more commonplace

Days of future past?

So one of my characters (an aarakocran rogue/timeless warlock[warlock who can fuck with the local flow of time]) couldn’t show up to a session and the party left him in a city because they have a tavern and orphans to look after, so the warlock and I had an idea: have the future warlock(same lvl with a different buff) come back to help the party in a dire fight that would’ve ended the campaign, and after the battle gets shredded across time after fulfilling his promise. I wanted to do this because itd show the party that the asshole rogue becomes a better person because of their time together, or becomes a worse person when they die. Does this seem fair? I want to incorporate more time fuckery because my final boss is a fully realized Chrono-lich, who’s been working to get the party to do its bidding before she ever became a lich.

Goliath Wizard

I want to play a Goliath wizard, going full into the muscle-bound nerd type character, who is looking for a way to cure his mothers magical ailment, but since he was not into working out and still got buff, he was not well respected in an insecure nomad clan of Cloud Goliaths. How should I subclass?

Lfg for a relatively new player/DM

I’m still relatively new to actually playing the game, as I’ve only played a couple sessions of a dead fallout campaign game and decided to DM my own campaign, but I don’t actually have the best DMing skills yet. So I’m looking for a group to play as for nearly any setting. I was told being a player is a bit easier on the mind, which would help me get the feel for RP more for my own campaign. I honestly couldn’t find the rules so I’m sorry if I missed any info to add, but I’m free most of the time during the weekdays.

Dm me if interested

Edit: forgot to mention I’m in CST if that’s important

Is it smart to be a player in another campaign while DMing?

I want to go find a campaign to play in because I had a great idea for a Flesh golem barbarian that I wanted to play, but I’m already running a campaign, what should I do?

Eberron Savana hunt ideas?

So I’m DMing a heavily homebrewed Eberron campaign (because I’m making shit up as I go) and have a party of 6 players at level three: Warforged forge cleric, storm herald barbarian, Assasin rogue, tiefling wild magic Sorcerer, Human Fighter, and aaracokran Swashbuckler/Timeless warlock.

My BBEG (they don’t know she is) gave them a quest to obtain Chimera hearts, and I told them they act sort of like lions (I decided on the design with a lion head and bony wings) with a magical Chimera (from MH RISE, the TEOSTRA shown above) as an Alpha.

How should I run it? I plan on it being multiple sessions, including a murder investigation on a Lightning Rail ride.

Ideas for After Eberrons Last War Cleanup?

So I’m running a slight homebrewed game of Eberron, based in Sharn, the City of The Future!

In my party I have 6 people, with one floating seat.
There is a forge cleric Warforged, Ghallanda halfling assassin who’s married to the Orc barbarian, an Aarakocran pirate rogue/ Timeless warlock, a Human fighter based on Gustave from Clair obscura, and a tiefling Wild magic sorcerer. In this world, it’s only been two-3 years since the Last war, a war that changed Eberron forever. However, I could care less about the quori or stuff like that. MY INTEREST IS IN HOW WAR SHAPED THE WORLD!

So here’s what I came up with: War machines, Bio-weapons, and Veteran Champions.

The War machines are Warforged or Arcanotech that survived the war, or was built specifically for the war. The Forge cleric (actually asked for these to be in the game, meanwhile nerfing his character if his caretaker isn’t able to upgrade him) was supposed to be an experimental Warforged that was made to be the Ultimate medic by house cannith and house Jorasco. There were three other Warforged built for this: Scorchr, Fenrr, and Bendr. Scorcher is a arcanotech version of Ultron, which was built with a core engramed with the feeling of Envy. Fenrir, or the lord of Blades, was created to be the ultimate swordsman, and has Wrath engrained. The last is a version of AM, with the emotion Hate built in.

Bio-weapons are aberrations or monstrosities born from spellcasters doing anything they could to make the most powerful weapon of destruction possible. Such as the Gargantuan mimic, a mimic the size of an entire dungeon disguised as an oasis. There are also wild “Draco-grafted” beasts, beasts created by splicing Genes from different dragons or creatures, resulting in strange new dragon species, which I’ve taken a couple from MH RISE, like the Magnamalo.

The last is my personal favorite: Veterans. Champions during the war were on a completely different level than normal mortals. They were on levels Angels would be if they existed in eberron. Some of them are copies of popular nerd culture characters, like Thragg and Battle beast, or other characters like them, that can’t live with the peace of civilian life, and decided that normal civilians don’t matter as much, just as long as they still had the will to fight. However, some, like Rienhard, try to keep the civilians of Sharn alive.

The players have the choice to look into and hunt down these characters, with some having plot relevance. They’ll also gain Legendary items and artifacts if they manage to kill or incapacitate them.

Yes, I’ve asked my players, and they’re actually really into fighting characters from popular culture or things that make you actually think while you fight, instead of using a certain type of damage. Like with the Warforged, they will have to use both lightning damage and even a way to talk them into stopping or distraction. The Bio-weapons require both weakpoints and poison or other more biologically harmful damage types. The veterans require the Humanoid factor: talking them down from Their rage or bloodlust, or understanding their weaknesses or what they love the most in this world, while also depending on tons of teamwork or crafty solutions.

Does anyone have any other suggestions? I really don’t mind, and my players don’t mind either, seeing as how they also get plenty of help, with Feats gained by doing certain points in their own sub quests, and Weapons or artifacts given by defeating big bads. In the end they’ll fight a Chrono-lich, a lich that does lich things via Chronomancy, and can even make their opponents age.

So TLDR: do you have any popular culture characters I should add to the game to make my players a bit more fun? Arcanotech, biotech, or anything like that is more expected, but I’ll reflavor anything.

I feel like every pro ai person doesn’t understand my reasoning.

I legitimately think that anyone who supports the idea that ai can be helpful doesn’t understand that just because this media exists means that if that ai scrapes its info, it will learn. Either that, or they are too naive to think fiction can’t become reality. Because it does. We once thought it impossible to be able to speak to a person on the other side of the world. We once thought it would be impossible to destroy an entire city with the press of a button.

Looking for a homebrew subclass for Gustave

One of my players is playing Gustave from E33. Not a character like him. HIM. He died, and was transported into the world mysteriously. He’s a fighter, but doesn’t know a good subclass other than Battlemaster. Do any homebrew subclasses work, or is battlemaster good enough?

A Warlock subclass for Pirates

Does anyone know of a homebrew for warlock subclass where you make a pact with an ancient, Davy Jones-type of guy? One of my players wants to do that, but I don’t know what to look for with homebrew

So… is no one talking about the very real potential for AI physically enslaving us or is it just me?

MIT is using ai to control parts of living human limbs via electrical signals.

I was debating on the flair for this being “this should be a movie” BUT IT ALREADY IS.
