I'm applying for astrophysics/physics with astrophysics. except it's physics at oxford.

I'm predicted As in physics and maths but i got straight As in the AS assessments so I'm going to get them changed to A*s once i get back to school. i haven't actually done my assessment for further maths yet. that will be in september so i can only say that i hope for at least an A prediction.

so with two A*s and an A, am i underreaching with these options

oxford: A*AA
york: AAA
edinburgh: AAA
lancaster: AAA
liverpool: ABB

for context, I'm english and have the opportunity to study in china for a year. it seems like an amazing cultural opportunity and I'm really considering it. but i have a lot of people telling me it's not safe (especially for a woman). is it genuinely that dangerous or just 'strict'? i know about the great firewall and stuff but how likely is it that a student would get into major trouble there? sorry if this is the wrong subreddit

I've been travelling around europe so i have a LOT of electronics with me. no where asks you to take electronics out except paris. everything is tucked into millions of different pockets and I'll be at security FOREVER. I'm autistic so i don't have to worry about this at the airport since we use fast track. but on the eurostar, it just skips the queue instead of going to a quieter security. please if anyone has tips on the electronics part to make taking them out and putting them back in as quickly as possible. am i best just putting them in a small bag so i can dump it all out? though i can't jump an ipad and laptop

since part of the aqa physics practicals is being able to research your own method, my teacher instead decided to get us to write up a bit of a report on a topic of our choosing. i chose black holes because it ties into my personal statement really well. but i don't know if I'm allowed to mention it when it's technically school work but also certainly not on the spec

i know it was discontinued ages ago but I've been able to use back stock until now. i tried their new formula but my god my hair is greasy from the salicylic acid. please no target/walmart recs, we don't have them in the uk

I'm applying to astrophysics at 4 unis but just physics at oxford. will i be less likely to get into oxford if i just talk about astrophysics?

I've tried emailing the headteacher and everything but no reply. i have early entry because of applying to oxford and I've just had to pay for the esat without even knowing if i have the grades to apply! what do i do? two weeks once we get back to school is not enough time to sort my grades out if they're bad.
