Firespray mod

Years ago when I started collecting around 1e Wave Four, I butchered this Firespray and a bunch of the WotC Starship Battles figures to piece together this armored custom variant.

If you look at the paneling, you can see some bits from the SB Sith Infiltrator, smaller Firespray, Eta’s, etc.
This was early in my repaint/mod career, so forgive the quality. 😅

Swampy’s I’ve sketched over the years

I was going through my paper and Procreate archives and realized I’ve drawn a few Swamp Thangs over the years, strange because I haven’t read a ton of his stories. 😅

I feel like two or three might be missing as I’ve sold some paper copies a while back.

Anyway I enjoy seeing other’s art here so thought I’d share some of mine.

A little old school cool from the early 80's

Photo of me around 1982(?) so maybe 6 or 7 years old, playing 2600 on my Uncle Dan's orange shag carpet, surrounded by wood panel walls.

Note my vacant stare; COMPLETELY plugged into the fantasy of ATARI.😅

Metalhead VS Mouser

Finished up this Metalhead and Mouser from TMNT the other week, and added the background yesterday. Pretty happy with it and he was a lot of fun to draw; I can neither confirm nor deny that I may have been making robot noises and voices while working.

OC Transformer Sketch by me, iPad Procreate

Randomly started sketching a made-up transformer a few months ago, and it turned into a scene I’ve been messing with in my spare time.

Kind of gotten to the point where I’m done and moving on to something else.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy this snarky, confident Autobot squaring off with two Decepticon scouts.

Pursuer-class Enforcement Ship, artwork in progress by me

Randomly started sketching a Pursuer, a favorite of mine since Dark Empire where it was made famous as Boba Fett’s Slave 2.
I drew entirely from memory, and found it interesting how my brain butchered together various details, switched weapon sides, and added details just based on the various images as I remembered them… but overall the basic shape remains.

I’ve included the initial sketch, my Shapeways Pursuer that I’d fly in place of my Firespray (with no rules change, and only with my opponents approval), as well as the artwork inspiring my memory.
Sketched in spare time with Procreate for iPad, a little at a time through June.
Still plenty to flesh out, detail the jungle, and I need to consult some flames/explosion reference to dial in the big boom.
The victim just ended up being a Scyk, even though I’m a fan. 😅

Any thoughts or ideas?
I wanted a green world, and was thinking of adding a non-Imperial, scum-like turret in the jungle.

1 & 2: artwork in progress, by me.
2: my sketch I started in a waiting room.
3: printed mini by Shapeways.
4: art by Cam Kennedy from Dark Empire.
5: art by John Nadeau & Jordi Ensign, colors by Dave Nestelle.
6: art by Ian Fullwood for The Essential Guide to Vehicles and Vessels.

Blaster Master; am I stuck, stupid or both?😅

Area 1, and I seem to be in a pickle.

Can't escape the bottom right area.

Is this common, is it escapable, or am I just missing the obvious?

Just got a copy of Blaster off eBay for my partner's NES; played it a little back when I was little (maybe a weekend rental) and really liked it, the physics of the vehicle, etc. Having fun again but the last time I got stuck like this was in Skyrim when my khajiit no-clipped into a mountain. 😅

1990 Movie Adaptation Archie comic

Ha! Trying to pare down my long boxes and stumbled on this guy.

I must have gotten it off a corner store spin rack at the time.

($3.25 sticker is from a different comic that was in that bag).

My current D&D character, Enrico Matassa the bard spiritualist

Doodled my current Dungeons & Dragons character, Enrico “Hank” Matassa, a bard in the spirit subclass.
I likely won’t have time to flesh this out and really finish it, so just sharing the doodle in its current state.
iPad with Procreate drawing app, spread out over several hours.

He uses cards and music to summon the class-5 full-roaming vapors of dead relatives to aid his allies and harm his foes.

I do Hank’s voice at the table.😅

A little Metalhead for World Turtle Day 💚

It’s World Turtle Day, and it so happens that this last week I’ve been doodling a Metalhead of my own.
It was a lot of fun, and while I took some queues from my og figure, I mostly wanted to build my own version.

This was doodled in spare time over the last week with Procreate for iPad when I should have been working on other stuff. 🐢

Coffee, joint, and some Friday morning love for Demon Attack

Demon Attack drove me nuts as a kid; it still does.😅

I've always loved how evasive the demons were, like a wily mongoose.

My Mothman from a 2024 daily sketch challenge. “Cryptid”

I love seeing all the artwork here; remembered this older guy from a daily sketch challenge in 2024.
The prompt was “cryptid”.

The Galaxy Dragon, December 1993 Dragon Magazine

Was sifting through and organizing my old game materials & notes (from everything, D&D, Star Wars, etc) and stumbled on these pages I cut out of a Dragon Magazine from December 1993.

Great illustration by Mike Vilardi.

Cool to hold the pages, but also available on TheForce.

May the Fourth be with you (I'm a day late)!

Several years ago, Gold Squadron Podcast (RIP GSP) commissioned some card art from me, to include the TIE Echelon in the background of the FO/Resistance ships.

I didn't get comp cards and I can't find a trace online, so I'm assuming they didn't get used. 🤷‍♂️

Anyway, enjoy. If you want some without a watermark, I can track down the files after work. 👍

Lots of great media; books, movies, comics, CD's, and vinyl.

Scored some fun movies and a bunch of great Far Side, Mutts strip collections, as well as a cool history of MAD Magazine.

(Reposted after deleting og since Oregon autocorrected to oregano 🙄)🤌

Happy #LV426 Alien Day!

Finished the Lady in Red this morning; maybe a few little touches later but I wanted to post before D&D today.

Chestbuster in blue (swipe) is from January 2024.

Hope you all have a great Alien Day, and are able to avoid any invasive chest parasites. 👍
