What’s up with the “poor door” at 325 Bond Street?

I just found out 325 Bond Street apparently has a “poor door” for the affordable units. I hadn’t really heard about this before.

Can someone explain how it actually works? Is it really a completely separate entrance/lobby for affordable tenants? Anyone who lives there or knows the setup, please fill me in because wtf lol.

Anyone else get contacted for 40 Riverside Boulevard?

I just got contacted to submit documents for 40 Riverside Boulevard and I’m curious if anyone else here has been contacted recently too.

I’ve been trying to find more information about this building and I’m having a surprisingly hard time finding anything 😭 Barely any pictures, apartment photos, floor plans, tours, or recent posts from people who actually live there.

Has anyone been contacted, toured an apartment, or currently lives in the building? I’d especially love to know what the apartments actually look like, what the layouts/finishes are like, and what your experience with the building has been.

325 Bond Street: Has anyone WITHOUT a preference been contacted yet?

I've been following the updates for the 325 Bond Street lottery, and I've noticed a lot of people with community board, disability, and other preferences saying they've been contacted.

I'm wondering if anyone without a preference has heard anything yet.

If you've been contacted, would you mind sharing:

  • Your log number
  • Whether you have any preference (or none)
  • Whether you were contacted for documents, an interview, or a lease offer

I'm just trying to get a better sense of where they are in the process for applicants without a preference. Thank you! :)

Has anyone been contacted for 325 Bond Street yet?

I was just wondering if anyone has received a request for documents for 325 Bond Street yet.

If you've been contacted, what was your log number (if you're comfortable sharing) and AMI, and are they still reaching out to applicants?

Just trying to get an idea of where they're at in the process. Thanks!

Looking for NYC tenant lawyer recommendations

I'm helping my brother find a good tenant lawyer in New York City for an active Housing Court case involving ongoing apartment conditions and a dispute with his landlord.

If you've had a positive experience with a tenant attorney or know someone you'd recommend, I'd really appreciate any suggestions. If you don't mind, I'd also love to hear why you recommend them.

Appreciate any help.

Does someone having an EPA Section 608 Universal Certification make them a licensed HVAC company/professional?

I recently bought a house and want to make sure I'm doing my due diligence before hiring someone to work on my HVAC system.

If a contractor provides an EPA Section 608 Universal Certification, does that mean they're considered a licensed HVAC professional, or is that certification only for handling refrigerants?

Are HVAC technicians individually licensed, or is it only the company that's licensed?

Appreciate any advice.
